Henry Cavill to play Geralt in Netflix Witcher series

It’s official! Henry Cavill has been cast in the lead role as Geralt of Rivia in the up coming Witcher Netflix series. So personally I thought it was crazy when Superman himself Henry Cavill said that he wanted to play Geralt last month. Honestly I wasn’t sure if that would be a good fit for him but it doesn’t matter what I think because the producers of the series seem to think it’s a great idea. As far as his look goes he just seems a bit too bulky to play Geralt. Sure Geralt is pretty cut in the games but he’s a bit more slim than Henry Cavill. Of course he could always lose a bit of his mass but still, there is just something about his face that doesn’t seem to quite match up.

Poster and Release Date for Castlevania Season 2

Old school Nintendo fans and anime lovers alike were united in their praise of the Netflix original anime series, Castlevania. If you haven’t watched the first season yet I highly recommend that you do. The series itself was really well done. The animation was great, the characters were well fleshed out, the story was mysterious but also exciting. Overall it was just really entertaining and left us wanting more. I think the biggest complaint was that it was really short. Season 1 consisted of only 4 episodes and worst of all fans were left believing that it would be a solid couple of years before we got more episodes. However, Netflix has made sure that is not the case and dropped an awesome new poster and release date for Castlevania’s second season.

Reboot: The Guardian Code Official Trailer

So the reboot of the 1990’s CGI animated series appropriately named “Reboot” is coming to Netflix, and they just dropped the first official trailer for it. The new series is titled Reboot: The Guardian Code and my first impressions of it aren’t very positive. The original series was a ground breaking attempt at bringing an all computer animated TV show to the small screen.  Back in the mid 90s it was revolutionary for it’s time, unfortunately the original series just didn’t age well at all. The new series attempts to bring Reboot into the modern era with updated animation that is still reminiscent of the old show, but this time adding in an element of live action to it. I use to love the old show as a kid but I’m afraid this new one just doesn’t look very good to me.

Awesome Stranger Things Video Game is FREE

The much anticipated release of the second season of Stranger Things is just around the corner.  The first season was so popular that it quickly became the most talked about series on Netflix. Part of what made the show so unique and popular was the call back to the 1980s that ran throughout the entire series. Keeping the retro theme going Netflix and game developer BonusXp has created an awesome looking Stranger Things mobile game that is FREE to play. The best part about Stranger Things The Game is that it was made with 8-bit graphics that definitely make you feel like you are playing a classic game straight from the 80s or early 90s.

The Punisher First Look and Teaser

The Punisher has always been an iconic character in Marvel’s comic line up but never had much success when it came to his on screen personas. That all changed when he was featured in the last season of the Netflix DareDevil series. He was originally intended to be another antagonist for Charlie Cox’s DareDevil but Jon Bernthal played him so well and fans loved him so much, that Marvel decided to give him his own Netflix series. Now the Punisher is back to collect in this dark and intense teaser trailer. As much as I loved Thomas Jane as The Punisher (I know it’s not a popular opinion) I have to admit that Jon Bernthal really embodies the character in every way.

Voltron Season 3 Official Trailer

The new Voltron series on Netflix has been one of, if not the best renditions of the classic 80’s cartoon that has ever been made… and that includes the original. There have been 2 exciting seasons of the series so far and it looks like things are going to get even more intense in season 3. So far I have loved this series and so have my kids. I tried going back and watching some of the original series and in my opinion it just doesn’t hold up very well, especially when you have this to compare it to. That being said I can’t wait for season 3 to be released on Netflix especially after watching the official trailer. I have posted it below for your viewing pleasure so be sure to check it out!

NEW Animated Netflix Series from the creator of Futurama

Good News Everyone! Apparently Netflix has ordered an adult animated comedy from the creator of The Simpsons and Futurama, Matt Groening. The show will be a medieval, fantasy series titled Disenchantment. “Disenchantment will take place in the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, which is populated by hard-drinking princess Bean, her elf companion Elfo and her personal demon Luci.” In all honesty this sort of reminds me of Adventure Time with some more adult undertones. Now I’m not saying that it’s a bad thing, in fact I think it actually sounds pretty entertaining. I hope that Disenchantment will be to animated, fantasy comedy that Futurama has been to animated sci-fi comedy.

Netflix Castlevania Teaser Trailer

In darkness, a hero returns in this first official teaser trailer for the new Netflix anime series Castlevania. This teaser trailer looks dark, and bloody, and I can’t wait to watch the actual series. Castlevania was a classic game for the Nintendo Entertainment System and though there have been several sequels spanning across several game systems, the original will always be one of the most iconic games of all time. This trailer definitely has a great call back to the original NES days in it.
