The Predator – Holiday Special

Merry Christmas Nerd Nation! Tis the season for bloodshed and carnage, I mean presents and cheer. 20th Century Fox released a pretty cool little animated short to promote the release of The Predator on digital and Blu-Ray, that is filled with violence and gore. So far so good. The best part about it is that the animation is done in stop motion much like the classic Christmas specials of yesteryear. It’s actually pretty funny and though I wouldn’t consider it an actual Holiday special, it’s still entertaining and definitely worth a watch. I still have yet to see the 2018 movie and have heard a lot of mixed reviews about it, but this little animation makes me want to check it out even more.

Seth MacFarlanes The Orville: Official Trailer

So it looks like Seth MacFarlane is taking his love for science fiction where no TV show has gone before. Actually several have gone here before but his new show The Orville puts a bit of a slapstick, comedic twist to it. This is definitely a spoof of the many Star Trek TV series that have come and gone, but also a bit of an homage to them as well. To be honest this actually looks like a refreshing new show that I could honestly get into. Also, with John Favreau directing this new series I think it has a lot of potential to be a hit. The only thing I’m worried about is that it already looks like it has the same type of comedy as A Million Ways to Die in the West and that movie was terrible.

Cosplay Better Than Hollywood

Obviously I’m not the only one who sees it but Fox is seriously ruining some great Marvel villains…At least when it comes to their iconic look. Doom looks like a retarded terminator and Apocalypse looks like Fucking Ivan Ooze from the Power Rangers movie. Sorry but the early 90’s movies probably aren’t the best source for inspiration when it comes to the look of movie villains in 2015. As always I’m curious to hear your thoughts on the look of these two characters Nerd Nation. Leave me a comment below, on the Facebook page or on Twitter.

Olivia Munn Cast as Psylocke In X-Men: Apocalypse

Let me just start of by saying that I am a big fan of Olivia Munn. Sure she’s still a little bit of an unknown to those outside the nerd circle, but this might be her really big break into super stardom. I loved watching her on Attack of The Show with Kevin Pereira and honestly after those two left the show went completely down hill. Olivia Munn is smokin hot and pretty hilarious in the right setting. I’m actually really excited for her that she has been cast in X-Men: Apocalypse
