The Predator – Holiday Special

Merry Christmas Nerd Nation! Tis the season for bloodshed and carnage, I mean presents and cheer. 20th Century Fox released a pretty cool little animated short to promote the release of The Predator on digital and Blu-Ray, that is filled with violence and gore. So far so good. The best part about it is that the animation is done in stop motion much like the classic Christmas specials of yesteryear. It’s actually pretty funny and though I wouldn’t consider it an actual Holiday special, it’s still entertaining and definitely worth a watch. I still have yet to see the 2018 movie and have heard a lot of mixed reviews about it, but this little animation makes me want to check it out even more.

The Predator Official Trailer and Thoughts

It’s been 8 years since we last saw the Predator in his own movie. Finally after all these years we get another stand alone Predator movie appropriately titled The Predator. I can’t tell you how excited I’ve been for this movie especially knowing that the original screen writer Shane Black signed on to write the script for this movie. We’ve been given movie posters, screen shots, and a trailer teaser but for a big Predator fan like myself all I’ve wanted to see is how he was going to look in this movie. Thankfully I have to say that this new Predator’s armor, weapons and mask look completely bad ass. However as for the movie it’s self, that might be another story.

Alien: Covenant Official Trailer (Video)

Finally we get to see the first official trailer for the latest movie in one of the best science fiction franchises, and that would be for the much anticipated Alien: Covenant. Personally I am a big fan of the entire Alien franchise (Yes even Alien 3 and the AVP movies) and Alien: Covenant is no exception. It placed eighth in my top 10 most anticipated Nerd movies of 2017 list, but after seeing this trailer I think I should have placed it even higher because it looks that good.

Alien VS Predator Stop Motion (Video)

Counter 656 is back at it again with some of the best and most creative stop motion videos on the interwebs. This time we get a mash up of Star Wars, Aliens, Predator and even a little Batman. The figures used in this animation are a little more on the cute side but it’s still pretty cool. As always I love these kinds of videos and they use such cool and unique figures to make them. The only problem is that I always end up wanting the figures that are featured in these videos and my wallet just can’t handle it.

Arrival Trailer (Video)

This is our first official look at the new science fiction thriller titled Arrival and I have to say that it looks pretty damn good. In all honestly it looks very intense and I love that this approach in depicting our first alien encounter is different than what we have seen in the past. Usually aliens show up here on earth, start some sort of war with us, and it is up to a few brave humans to drive them back off of our planet. However, in arrival it almost seems like we humans might be the bad guys in this scenario.

Alien Forgiveness Is The Best Forgiveness

These are definitely words of wisdom. Sure it’s been a rivalry that’s been going on for decades but if Ripley can forgive the Aliens for slaughtering her friends and crew mates, then I think we are big enough to find forgiveness for someone in our lives today. There is always a lesson to be learned if we just look hard enough haha. This cracked me up and I have to admit that Sigourney Weaver still looks pretty good…The Alien too. Anyways, Happy Friday Nerd Nation!

Terminator: Genisys Trailer (Video)

┬áThe year is 2029. John Connor, leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John’s fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when TECOM spies reveal a new plot by SkyNet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever. Well there are some things I like about the look of this movie, and some things I don’t. It’s kinda weird to see how much Arnie has aged, but it’s also kinda cool to see him go up against his younger cybernetic and CGI self.
