Resident Evil 7 “Not a Hero” DLC Trailer

Chris Redfield is back and this time he is coming to Resident Evil 7. For those of you that may not have played Resident Evil 7 yet **SPOILER ALERT** skip this next sentence if you don’t want the ending ruined for you. At the end of Resident Evil 7 what looks like some special ops soldiers show up and rescue you from the house, and one of them turns out to be Chris Redfield. Now Campcom is releasing it’s latest DLC titled Not a Hero and it looks to be the story of what Chris and his team went through during the events of the game. However the best part about this DLC is that it will be completely free to anyone who already owns the gold edition of this game.

Toys”R”Us files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

The first thing I have to say is don’t panic Nerd Nation. When I first read the news about Toys”R”Us filing for bankruptcy, I about lost my sh*t. Ever since I was a kid I have always loved going into Toys”R”Us stores and now having kids I love it even more. I’ve seen a lot of sights posting that Toys”R”Us stores will be closing their doors, but that is NOT true. At least not yet anyways. Had they filed chapter 7 bankruptcy then we would definitely be kissing their stores goodbye right now. Thankfully the toy store giant has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy and the hope is that they will come out of this with a lot less debt, and once again be competitive in the ever changing retail market.

Sonic Forces Story Trailer

Sonic The Hedgehog is back with an awesome new adventure for consoles and PC. In Sonic Forces he and his friends must save the world from Eggman or Robotnic (as we in the states know him) and his army of evil robots. To be honest I am actually really glad to see Sega putting out a good looking Sonic game that looks exciting and somewhat reminiscent of the games for the original Genesis. Based on this trailer the story seems to be fairly compelling and the game play looks to be pretty fast paced as well as diverse. Not only does it look like a classic Sonic game, but it also has some visual elements of the Ratchet and Clank games. This might be the first Sonic game that I actually purchase in years.

NEW Mortal Kombat/Crash Bandicoot POPS

Time to make some room on your shelves Nerd Nation because some pretty awesome Pop figures, from some very iconic video game franchises will be making their way to stores shortly. Funko announced today on their blog that they will be releasing a line of Pop figures from both the Mortal Kombat and Crash Bndicoot video game series. Personally I think I am more excited for the Mortal Kombat Pops but I will definitely be getting Crash as well. Both figure lines are set to be released in November of this year just in time for the holidays. Below I have posted an image gallery for you viewing pleasure, so be sure to check it out to see all the figures from both Mortal Kombat and Crash Bandicoot.

Destiny 2 Live Action Trailer

As the release of Destiny 2 draws ever so near the hype for this game will continue to increase and that is not necessarily a bad thing. Especially because we get more awesome promo videos like this one and more Nathan Fillion, which is never a bad thing. This particular Destiny 2 trailer is a live action version and it looks amazing. I would love to see a Destiny 2 live action TV series or possibly a web series. I definitely think it could fit into the Destiny universe especially with them trying to add more of a story to this new game. One of the biggest criticisms from fans of the original was that it lacked much of a story, and a live action web series could add some more details to a somewhat vague back story.

Overwatch Developer Update: Hero Balancing

Blizzard released a developer update yesterday and announced that they will be making some major changes to one of the game’s most popular characters. When putting a team together in Overwatch, one of the most crucial components is of course the healer. No healer is more popular among the Overwatch community than Mercy. If you are an avid Mercy player than you probably love her just the way she is, but if you’ve ever been a part of a team wipe just to have her resurrect the entire enemy team, then you might feel a little differently about her… at the time at least. Well it seems that Blizzard has taken it upon themselves to make some pretty major changes to Mercy and you may love or hate their decision.

Overwatch Animated Short “Rise and Shine”

For those of you that are fans of Overwatch then you will definitely want to check this out. Also if you are an avid player of Overwatch then you probably know Mei the “tenacious climatologist” who can be one of the most annoying characters to play against. Nothing is worse than when you have her almost dead and she throws up her ice wall or protects herself with her ice shield either escaping completely or turning the tide on you. However, after watching this animated short from Blizzard you will definitely see her in a different light. I have to admit that I never thought I would like her as a character but now all I want to do is actually try playing as her.

NEW Characters revealed for Dragon Ball FighterZ

One of the most anticipated fighting games of the year is Dragon Ball FighterZ, at least for those of us that are fans of the Dragon Ball franchise. The game honestly looks like the anime come to life. The matches are exciting and fast paced, with animation that looks amazing. As of now we only knew of a handful of playable characters that were going to be available in the game. Of course we knew there would be Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and Trunks, along with the 3 main baddies Frieza, Cell, and Buu. However, today we get our first look at some of the other characters that will be joining the fight and they are looking just as incredible in this latest video.
