Reboot: The Guardian Code Official Trailer

So the reboot of the 1990’s CGI animated series appropriately named “Reboot” is coming to Netflix, and they just dropped the first official trailer for it. The new series is titled Reboot: The Guardian Code and my first impressions of it aren’t very positive. The original series was a ground breaking attempt at bringing an all computer animated TV show to the small screen.  Back in the mid 90s it was revolutionary for it’s time, unfortunately the original series just didn’t age well at all. The new series attempts to bring Reboot into the modern era with updated animation that is still reminiscent of the old show, but this time adding in an element of live action to it. I use to love the old show as a kid but I’m afraid this new one just doesn’t look very good to me.

NEW Changes to COD: WW2

Sledgehammer Games has brought some changes to Call of Duty: WW2 which might make some of you happy but could possibly disappoint others. The update was live as of January 18 so it’s possible that players may not have noticed the changes. Just in case you weren’t sure what updates were made we have listed them below for your viewing pleasure. Also if you are like me and haven’t picked the game up in a while, then these changes might be something to possibly entice you back. These changes come right before the first major DLC drops for Call of Duty: WW2 titled Resistance. Now whether these changes are good or bad is really up to your own personal opinion. Check them out below.

Blizzard’s Anime Short “MechaStorm”

Blizzard has come out with so many awesome animated shorts for all of their different games that I’m starting to think that maybe they should just go ahead and start their own animation studio. I don’t know about you Nerd Nation, but I would definitely be excited to see a Blizzard cinematic universe. That being said check out the awesome new animated short that Blizzard has released for the game Heroes of The Storm. The short is titled MechaStorm and is meant to introduce the new mecha skins for Rehgar and Tyrael, and the xenotech upgrade for Abathur which will all be available in game for players to use. Blizzard’s recent animated shorts have been done in spectacular CGI but this one is all anime style!

NEW Overwatch Map “Blizzard World” Release Date

One of the most exciting parts about Overwatch is when a new map is released for our gaming pleasure. Back at Blizzcon 2017 it was announced that Overwatch would be getting a new map for players to battle it out on called Blizzard World. The map looks like a theme park based on all of the most popular games that Blizzard has developed. As exciting as it was to hear that this new map was on it’s way, no release date was actually given at the time. Well fear not Nerd Nation because Blizzard has finally let us know when we will be able to actually play at Blizzard World and it looks like it is going to be a lot sooner than we had hoped. I don’t know about you guys but I am really excited for this map!

NEW Updates Coming! Is there still hope for Destiny 2?

It goes without saying that Destiny 2 had a really rough launch and even more rough couple of months since. There was so much hype surrounding it’s release that fans of the original could not wait to get their hands on the sequel, and new players lined up to be part of the phenomenon. However, upon release it became very apparent that player’s expectations were not going to be met and Destiny 2 fell short of all the hype. Now Bungie has decided to make some essential changes to the progression and loot system, as well as add more endgame rewards and activities in an effort to bring players back to the world of Destiny. This all sounds great, but you have to wonder if this is a classic case of “too little, too late“?

Call of Duty: The Darkest Shore Trailer

If you guys haven’t played the latest Call of Duty Zombies then you are definitely missing out. The puzzles are challenging, the zombies get ridiculously hard, but all and all it makes for a really fun and entertaining challenge. I personally have not actually been able to beat it yet, but just because I haven’t beat it doesn’t mean that I’m not looking forward to the new zombies dlc. It’s called The Darkest Shore and it looks even more intense than the original zombies for Call of Duty WW2. I have to admit that this looks a lot more gory than the usual zombie mode that we are used to. It seems like it’s crossing over into more horror territory similar to games like The Evil Within and Outlast.

Live-Action Halo TV Series Still in Development

I recently wrote about the return of Steven Spielberg’s animated series Animaniacs that isn’t set to debut until 2020. If you missed that story just click here to get the details on that. In that post I mentioned that a Spielberg directed, live-action, Halo TV series was announced 5 years ago along with the Xbox One reveal. I also mentioned that because we’ve been waiting so long for it that I am not holding my breath on the return of Animaniacs in 2 years. In all honesty I thought the Halo TV series was dead in the water but it looks like there still may be some hope left after all. I guess shame on us fans for giving up so easliy?

Ghost of Tsushima Game Trailer

One of the most under utilized genres in gaming has to be the samurai era. So many amazing stories have been told throughout history all stemming from feudal Japan. However, it has been forever since we got a decent game that takes place in that era. Back in the day one of my favorite games for the original PlayStation was Tenchu: Stealth Assassin but the sequels were pretty much garbage. For the past few console generations I have hoped that a developer would take the reigns and create an awesome open world samurai game where you could visit different villages and engage in epic sword fights with other samurai. I don’t want to get my hopes too high but Ghost of Tsushima might just be that game we samurai fans have been waiting so long for.
