Hasbro Buys The Power Rangers

Hasbro has officially purchased the Power Rangers property from Saban Entertainment. According to reports the cost of the deal is valued at $520 million. That is a whole lot of money but I think that it has gone to some really good and capable hands. Not only did Hasbro acquire the Power Rangers but the deal also included several other brands like; My Pet MonsterPopplesJulius Jr., and Luna Petunia. Hasbro is one of the biggest toy companies in the industry today and I think this could be really good news for toy collectors and Power Rangers fans that want to see a real movie franchise come to life. Below we have posted a statement from Hasbro’s CEO Brian Goldner about the purchase.

Attack on Titan Season 3 Trailer

We are only a few short months away from the premiere of the the third season of Attack on Titan. !!!SPOILER ALERT!!! If you haven’t seen all of season 2 then you might want to skip the rest of this article, but I’m gonna assume that everyone has seen it other wise you wouldn’t be here. The last season was crazy! We saw the debut of a new smart titan, we found out that there were Titans in the walls, but worst of all that Reiner and Bertholdt were the traitorous titans that were responsible for the very first attack from season 1.  Still it seems like the more mysteries that get uncovered, the more questions we are left with. Season 3 looks to bring about some more answers but also a lot more questions.

Big Hero 6 Animated Series Release Date

The Disney hit Big Hero 6 was released all the way back in 2014 and the announcement for a new animated series based on the movie happened back in 2016. If you missed that then just click here to see that story. Fast forward to 2018 and we are finally getting the news on when this series will actually be released. In all honesty I thought that this project had either been scrapped or that it had already been released and wasn’t much of a hit. Anyways, it looks like the Big Hero 6 animated series will finally premiere June 9th of this year at 9 a.m. EST. You can watch it on the Disney channel, DisneyNow, and Disney Channel on demand.

Reboot: The Guardian Code Official Trailer

So the reboot of the 1990’s CGI animated series appropriately named “Reboot” is coming to Netflix, and they just dropped the first official trailer for it. The new series is titled Reboot: The Guardian Code and my first impressions of it aren’t very positive. The original series was a ground breaking attempt at bringing an all computer animated TV show to the small screen.  Back in the mid 90s it was revolutionary for it’s time, unfortunately the original series just didn’t age well at all. The new series attempts to bring Reboot into the modern era with updated animation that is still reminiscent of the old show, but this time adding in an element of live action to it. I use to love the old show as a kid but I’m afraid this new one just doesn’t look very good to me.

Live-Action Halo TV Series Still in Development

I recently wrote about the return of Steven Spielberg’s animated series Animaniacs that isn’t set to debut until 2020. If you missed that story just click here to get the details on that. In that post I mentioned that a Spielberg directed, live-action, Halo TV series was announced 5 years ago along with the Xbox One reveal. I also mentioned that because we’ve been waiting so long for it that I am not holding my breath on the return of Animaniacs in 2 years. In all honesty I thought the Halo TV series was dead in the water but it looks like there still may be some hope left after all. I guess shame on us fans for giving up so easliy?

The Animaniacs are coming to HULU but not for a while

All the way back in May of last year we heard that the classics 90’s cartoon Animaniacs would be getting a reboot. If you missed that story just click here to check it out. Since then things have been pretty quiet about the whole thing until today when it was announced that The Animaniacs will be making their return to the small screen through the streaming giant Hulu. For those of us that have fond memories of watching this show after a long day at school, this is some very exciting news. However don’t be expecting to see Yakko, Wakko, and their sister Dot right away. In fact, the new series is not expected to premiere until some time in the year 2020. A lot can change in 2 years so I for one am not getting too excited just yet.

Rick and Morty Old Spice Commercial

I was thinking about this and I sorta went back and forth about it in my mind. I feel Like Rick Sanchez is the type of guy that would totally sell out to a company to make some quick cash, but on the other hand he also seems like the type of guy who doesn’t place much value in money. Or at least not making it in the conventional sense. He doesn’t seem to care much about having money to do things on Earth so it seems sorta weird that he’d want to do an Old Spice commercial. Well despite how I feel about it (or any of us for that matter) a Rick and Morty Old Spice commercial is now a thing and it definitely does not take it’s self very seriously.

Marvel’s The Punisher Official Trailer

It’s finally here! Netflix has released the official trailer for Marvel’s The Punisher and it looks seriously kick ass. Just a couple days ago we got a short promotional video featuring Frank Castle making some soldiers pay for going after him. If you missed that then just click here to check it out. However, it’s not necessary to watch it before you check out the official trailer that we have posted below for your viewing pleasure. The trailer is definitely brutal in true Punisher fashion not to mention that it is set to the hard hitting sound of Metallica’s song “One“. All in all I’d have to say that this might be one of the most intense and exciting trailers for a Marvel Netflix original series.
