Star Trek: Discovery Official Trailer

It has been 12 years since the last Star Trek series aired it’s final episode. Personally I think we are long overdue for another series that will explore strange new worlds and new civilizations. Thankfully the wait is almost over as CBS has given us our first look at the brand new series Star Trek: Discovery. This is definitely a new take on the Star Trek universe and it looks to have a very cinematic quality to it. If I didn’t know any better I would think I was watching a trailer for a new Star Trek movie. Visual effects have definitely come a long way since the days of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine.

NEW South Park: The Fractured But Whole Trailer

For those of you that have been keeping track of the latest South Park game you are in for a treat. The release date for South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been pushed back several times in an effort to insure that Ubisoft is releasing the best version of this game that they possibly can. Finally, 2 years after it was first announced it looks like they are finally giving us a release date and a new trailer to go with it. Honestly, the trailer is hilarious and the game looks like it will be pretty entertaining once we are able to finally get our hands on an actual copy of the game.

The Witcher TV Series to be Produced by Netflix

Great news gaming fans! The Witcher TV series is in the works over at Netflix. According to IGN the streaming giant will be producing a TV series based on The Witcher video games and novels. The Witcher 3 was released in 2015 and was highly praised by fans and critics. 2 Years later it still stands as one of the best games to be released on to the latest generation of consoles and PC. A Witcher TV series could be very exciting and entertaining, especially with all the mythology and lore that already exists in the games and books. Best of all original Witcher creator Andrzej Sapkowski will be the creative consultant for the new Netflix series.

Seth MacFarlanes The Orville: Official Trailer

So it looks like Seth MacFarlane is taking his love for science fiction where no TV show has gone before. Actually several have gone here before but his new show The Orville puts a bit of a slapstick, comedic twist to it. This is definitely a spoof of the many Star Trek TV series that have come and gone, but also a bit of an homage to them as well. To be honest this actually looks like a refreshing new show that I could honestly get into. Also, with John Favreau directing this new series I think it has a lot of potential to be a hit. The only thing I’m worried about is that it already looks like it has the same type of comedy as A Million Ways to Die in the West and that movie was terrible.

Yamcha Finally Becomes a Hero?

For those of us that are Dragon Ball fans there are two usual reactions when we hear the name Yamcha. We either cringe or just start laughing. He isn’t known for being much of a force in the Dragon Ball series. In fact, he has been made into more of a joke thanks to some pretty hilarious internet memes. Well, all that might be about to change with the release of a new Dragon Ball manga mini-series. It’s titled Dragon Ball Gaiden: Tensei-shitara Yamcha Datta Ken or just Dragon Ball Gaiden for short and Yamcha finally gets to be the powerful hero that he has always wanted to be.

X-Men Series The Gifted official Trailer

There has been a lot of talk and speculation about what an X-Men TV series might entail and now the official trailer is finally here. Last night the FOX network released the trailer for the new series loosely based off of the X-Men comic series called The Gifted. It is described as an action-adventure family drama that follows a family who discovers that their children have mutant abilities. I have posted the trailer below for your viewing pleasure and my personal thoughts on the trailer for this new series.

Back to the 90s Music Video

I don’t know about you Nerd Nation, but I often find myself wishing I could go back to a simpler time, back when I was a kid and had no cares in the world. I wish I could go back to the 90s. Unfortunately, time travel only exists in the movies but that doesn’t mean that we can’t revisit the 90s. Thanks to Ben Giroux we can do just that by watching this totally awesome music video. There are so many great references made to the 90s that if you grew up then you will mostly likely remember every single one of them. Of course there is a bit of sadness when you think that most, if not all, of these great things we remember from our childhood don’t really exist anymore. However, it’s a great video and definitely worth remembering the 90s on this throwback Thursday.

Judge Dredd TV Series in the Works

Great news Judge Dredd fans, it looks like there is a TV series based on our favorite futuristic law bringer currently in the works. Personally we here at Nerdgasm Needs are huge fans of the 2012 Dredd film and have been eagerly waiting for a sequel. Though this is not a direct sequel to the movie, fans should still be pretty excited about this announcement. Honestly, an on going TV series might actually be a little better avenue for Dredd especially with so much content already written in the comic series. This has the potential to be one of the best comic booked based series on TV if it is done right. Also be sure to check out the official poster below.
