NECA Comic Con Exclusive TMNT Figures

If you are a fan of the original live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie from 1990 then this post is definitely for you. NECA has revealed their exclusive TMNT figure set for Comic-Con International 2018 and it is awesome! The set includes all four of the turtles (Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael), their weapons from the movie, as well as some other various accessories. NECA had previously released larger versions of these figures which ran about $150 each. However, the figures in this set are only 7 inches tall, fully articulated, and will only set you back $125 for the whole set. In all honesty these are probably the best looking TMNT figures I have ever seen.

Bandai Mini Classic Voltron Figure

If you were a kid who grew up in the 80s or just a fan of the popular animated series Voltron then you have to check this out. Bandai has released a new mini-figure for pre-order that actually comes with 5 lions to combine into the defender of the universe Voltron or Beast King GoLion as he is known in Japan. Fully combined this figure stands at only approx. 7.1″ tall, but is still highly pose-able and very detailed. The paint scheme on this figure is nice and bright, and very reminiscent of the original animation. This new Voltron figure is going to be part of Bandai’s Shokugan Mini Pla series which means that the figures will have some die-cast in them.

KB Toy Stores Returning

The sad news of Toys “R” Us closing all of it’s stores in North America was just announced last week. Not only do I have some great memories of going to Toys “R” Us as a kid but I also have some amazing memories of going there as an adult with my son. It’s always been a source of fun and excitement in my life and to see it go really does make me sad. However, there is some good news on the horizon for both toy store fans and the 33,000 employees of Toys R Us about to be laid off. Another former toy store giant is planning to make it’s return to North America. KB Toys has been gone for almost 10 year with the last of their stores closing back in 2009. However, plans are currently in the works to open new stores and help out former employees of the closing Toys R Us stores.

AWESOME Nerf Rival Minigun

This is the Nerf gun to decimate all other Nerf guns. I’ve seen a lot of customized Nerf guns and even plenty of Nerf mini-guns. My son even has one that is just the regular store bought version. However, this is the first time that I have ever seen a back pack, belt fed, Nerf mini-gun. This project comes from the Captain Xavier YouTube channel and is one of the coolest Nerf mods I have ever seen. Not only does this thing look intimidating but it definitely has the ammo capacity to back up that fierce look. Match the fire power and aggressive paint job, with Captain Xavier’s custom body armor and you have one mean looking Nerf player.

Amazing “Batman: The Animated Series” Collectible Villain Set

This week one of the most iconic animated series from the 90s turned 25 years old. For those of you that grew up in the 90s you probably loved or at least were familiar with Batman: The Animated Series. For many kids that grew up watching this show Kevin Conroy (Batman) and Mark Hamil (Joker) defined Batman and the Joker for their entire generation. There were so many great story lines, iconic animation, and memorable villains that came out of that series. Well in honor of the show’s 25th anniversary DC Collectibles is releasing the Batman: The Animated Series GCPD Rogues Gallery action figure set. One look at this set and it’s obvious that any fan of the animated series or Batman in general will want to add this to their collection.

Mega Bloks Halo: Assault on Squad 45 (Video)

So over the Holidays I spent most of my time building vehicles and play sets for my son who badly wanted just about every Mega Bloks Halo set imaginable. Needless to say myself and Santa are not ones to disappoint so he did end up with quite a few. However, I really had no clue that my son of 7 was not going to have the skills or patients to put together all of those sets…Especially the bigger ones. He does fine on some of the small stuff but (like most parents) it became my task to sit there and put them all together.
