Mark Hamill gets choked up filming with Yoda in TLJ

This is a very cool behind the scenes look at Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) filming a scene with Frank Oz (Yoda) on the set of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It’s like watching two old friends be reunited for the first time in decades. Essentially that is what is happening because even though Mark and Frank have reunited, this is the first time we see Luke and Yoda reunite since The Return of The Jedi was released back in 1983. For fans who saw The Last Jedi this was definitely an emotional moment and it’s really cool to see that it was for the actors as well. Check out the video below and be sure to let us know what you think of it Nerd Nation!

Star Wars The Last Jedi Official Trailer

Here we go Star Wars fans! We’ve been waiting anxiously to get another look at the latest Star Wars movie titled The Last Jedi. Just like Star Wars The Force Awakens, this trailer premiered during Monday night football. It was all the way back in April that we got our first look at The Last Jedi in the form of a teaser trailer. If you missed it or want to watch it again, then just click here to check it out. This time we get a much more sinister and mysterious looking trailer than the Force Awakens. I don’t want to say that the Dark Side has a big upper hand in this one, but it is definitely looking that way. Still, what else makes for a great story other than some serious conflict?

Toys”R”Us files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

The first thing I have to say is don’t panic Nerd Nation. When I first read the news about Toys”R”Us filing for bankruptcy, I about lost my sh*t. Ever since I was a kid I have always loved going into Toys”R”Us stores and now having kids I love it even more. I’ve seen a lot of sights posting that Toys”R”Us stores will be closing their doors, but that is NOT true. At least not yet anyways. Had they filed chapter 7 bankruptcy then we would definitely be kissing their stores goodbye right now. Thankfully the toy store giant has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy and the hope is that they will come out of this with a lot less debt, and once again be competitive in the ever changing retail market.

Star Wars Short Animations

The Force is strong with these Star Wars animated clips. Sure it’s not the the Last Jedi trailer that we’ve all been anxiously waiting for, but I guess they will have to do for now. Personally I found these animated shorts pretty entertaining. There are several of them in this series titled Star Wars Blips. We have posted the 2 latest ones below. Each clip is under a minute long and feature some pretty good animation with a cleaver little story line to go with it. Check out the 2 Star Wars blips below and as always, let us know what you think of them Nerd Nation. Did you enjoy them and would you like to see more? Be sure to let us know your thoughts on this by leaving them in a comment below, on the Facebook page, or hit us up on the Twitter page @Nerdgasmneeds.

NEW Millennium Falcon LEGO Set Coming

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the largest official LEGO set in history. LEGO has officially unveiled the Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon and it will consist of a whopping 7,541 pieces! The previous title holder of the largest LEGO set ever was the Taj Mahal, however the the new Millennium Falcon contains over 1,600 more pieces. Once the set is all completed it will measure over 8” (21cm) high, 33” (84cm) long and 22” (56cm) wide. For those that don’t feel like adding that up that is close to a foot high, 3 feet long and 2 feet wide. That is seriously one massive LEGO set. The set will be released on October 1 for $800.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Epic Space Battle Trailer

Star Wars fans have been anxiously awaiting the next installment of the Star Wars: Battlefront series. One of the most anticipated features of the new game is of course the epic space battles that we missed out on in the first of the new Battlefront games. Unfortunately this was a pretty big mistake on the part of EA and Dice. Thankfully they have learned from their mistakes and have made sure to put space combat front and center in Battlefront 2. This latest trailer shows off exactly that and it looks amazing. The sense of scale and speed is spot on to what a Star Wars space battle should be like. Personally I can’t wait to try this refined space combat system in Battlefront 2.

The Best Star Wars Movie Lightsaber Battle

The Star Wars franchise has given us one of the best weapons in science fiction and movie history. I am of course talking about none other than the iconic lightsaber. It’s not as clumsy or random as a blaster. It’s an elegant weapon from a more civilized age. We’ve all wished that we could wield a real lightsaber at some point in our lives but unfortunately we’ve had to settle for watching them be used in battle on the big screen. So, in honor of today being May the 4th and Star Wars Day I thought I would share with you what I consider to be the best lightsaber battle in all of Star Wars cinematic history.

Cancelled Star Wars Game Is Now Playable

The Star Wars franchise has given us many memorable games in the past, some that will live on in the hearts of fans for years to come. However, it is also synonymous with having games cancelled before they are ever released to the public. Fans are left with their dreams crushed and only their thoughts about what could have been. One game that was announced and cancelled to the dismay of fans was titled Star Wars: First Assault. It was slated to be a Call of Duty style, first person shooter game that never made it to store shelves. Well thanks to the magic of technology and some savvy  geeks it has now been leaked online and you can actually play the unfinished game.
