Goodbye Moonmen – Rick and Morty

This is a little bit of a random post but it’s mainly because I told my wife that I want this song played at my funeral while being slowly lowered into the ground…No joke. For those of you that are fans (lets be honest who isn’t) of the animated, science fiction series Rick and Morty then this song will definitely sound familiar to you. However, if you have not seen this episode or for some reason haven’t watched the series, then let this little number wet your pallet. The song is titled Goodbye Moonmen and is featured in the 2nd episode of season 2, titled Mortynight Run. The song is sung by a gaseous being who assumes the name of Fart after meeting Rick and Morty. It’s absolute ridiculousness but it’s easily one of my favorite songs ever.

Ewoks Coming to Star Wars Battlefront 2

EA just announced a new game mode coming to Star Wars: Battlefront 2 that will let players relive the battle on the forest moon of Endor. Just like in Return of the Jedi, players will get to choose from Ewoks and Imperial stormtroopers for this specific match up. The new mode is called Ewok Hunt and will be available to play in Battlefront 2 on April 18. It has been a rough beginning for the latest game in the Star Wars Battlefront series but this might just be the thing to bring fans back to the game. The release of Star Wars Battlefront 2 was met with a lot of criticism from players when EA included a terrible loot crate system along with some very “in your face” micro transactions. However, the loot box system has since been removed from the game and micro transactions toned down, leading players to slowly make their way back to Battlefront 2.

Mark Hamill gets choked up filming with Yoda in TLJ

This is a very cool behind the scenes look at Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) filming a scene with Frank Oz (Yoda) on the set of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It’s like watching two old friends be reunited for the first time in decades. Essentially that is what is happening because even though Mark and Frank have reunited, this is the first time we see Luke and Yoda reunite since The Return of The Jedi was released back in 1983. For fans who saw The Last Jedi this was definitely an emotional moment and it’s really cool to see that it was for the actors as well. Check out the video below and be sure to let us know what you think of it Nerd Nation!

Pacific Rim: Uprising LEGO Trailer

Many movie trailers have gotten some really unique fan made versions of them and Pacific Rim: Uprising is no exception. This time it gets the LEGO treatment from Brick FORCE Studios and it looks awesome. I would definitely watch a Lego Pacific Rim movie not to mention be excited for some actual Pacific Rim Lego sets. The video below is a great recreation of the first trailer that was released for the upcoming Pacific Rim movie back in October of last year. If you haven’t seen it yet (which we recommend that you do first) or want to compare the two with each other, then just click here to see the first official Pacific Rim: Uprising trailer.

Reboot: The Guardian Code Official Trailer

So the reboot of the 1990’s CGI animated series appropriately named “Reboot” is coming to Netflix, and they just dropped the first official trailer for it. The new series is titled Reboot: The Guardian Code and my first impressions of it aren’t very positive. The original series was a ground breaking attempt at bringing an all computer animated TV show to the small screen.  Back in the mid 90s it was revolutionary for it’s time, unfortunately the original series just didn’t age well at all. The new series attempts to bring Reboot into the modern era with updated animation that is still reminiscent of the old show, but this time adding in an element of live action to it. I use to love the old show as a kid but I’m afraid this new one just doesn’t look very good to me.

Blizzard’s Anime Short “MechaStorm”

Blizzard has come out with so many awesome animated shorts for all of their different games that I’m starting to think that maybe they should just go ahead and start their own animation studio. I don’t know about you Nerd Nation, but I would definitely be excited to see a Blizzard cinematic universe. That being said check out the awesome new animated short that Blizzard has released for the game Heroes of The Storm. The short is titled MechaStorm and is meant to introduce the new mecha skins for Rehgar and Tyrael, and the xenotech upgrade for Abathur which will all be available in game for players to use. Blizzard’s recent animated shorts have been done in spectacular CGI but this one is all anime style!

NEW Overwatch Map “Blizzard World” Release Date

One of the most exciting parts about Overwatch is when a new map is released for our gaming pleasure. Back at Blizzcon 2017 it was announced that Overwatch would be getting a new map for players to battle it out on called Blizzard World. The map looks like a theme park based on all of the most popular games that Blizzard has developed. As exciting as it was to hear that this new map was on it’s way, no release date was actually given at the time. Well fear not Nerd Nation because Blizzard has finally let us know when we will be able to actually play at Blizzard World and it looks like it is going to be a lot sooner than we had hoped. I don’t know about you guys but I am really excited for this map!

NEW Updates Coming! Is there still hope for Destiny 2?

It goes without saying that Destiny 2 had a really rough launch and even more rough couple of months since. There was so much hype surrounding it’s release that fans of the original could not wait to get their hands on the sequel, and new players lined up to be part of the phenomenon. However, upon release it became very apparent that player’s expectations were not going to be met and Destiny 2 fell short of all the hype. Now Bungie has decided to make some essential changes to the progression and loot system, as well as add more endgame rewards and activities in an effort to bring players back to the world of Destiny. This all sounds great, but you have to wonder if this is a classic case of “too little, too late“?
