DOOM Eternal Gameplay Video

So for those of you that weren’t aware Bethesda announced their sequel to the 2016 hit DOOM at E3 2018. Well a couple days ago they released a 20 minute gameplay video at QuakeCon for the new DOOM Eternal game, and it looks even more intense than any of other games that has come before it. Personally I am a huge fan of the DOOM franchise and really enjoyed the last one that came out. I played it a lot on PS4 and even streamed it quite a bit on our Nerdgasm Needs YouTube channel. The environments and level designs were great, the multiplayer was fun and fast paced, the customization for your multiplayer character was awesome, and judging by this latest video things are only gonna get better!

Cowboy Bebop Movie in US Theaters This August

One of the greatest anime series of all time is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and, coming off of Anime Expo 2018 I’m all about anything anime related right now. Funimation has announced that it will be showing Cowboy Bebop The Movie: Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door in the US August 15 – August 16 in select theaters. If you prefer you anime subbed and not dubbed then the August 15th showing is for you. However, if you like the English dubbed version then you should go on August 16th. The film originally opened in Japan all the way back in 2001, and previously screened in the U.S. back in 2002 and 2003. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to see it back then so I’m glad I get a second chance at seeing it on the big screen.

Halo TV Series Starts Production in 2019

It’s been a long time since the plan for a live-action Halo TV series was first announced. 5 years is a long time to wait. In all honesty there was a point where I didn’t think that it was actually going to happen, but here we are with some exciting news. Showtime has officially ordered 10 hour long episodes for the first season, with production set to begin sometime in 2019. The series comes from director Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), Kyle Killen (Awake), and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment. There are so many exciting things that could be explored with this series, and I just hope that the people in charge have as much passion for this project as the fans have for the games.

Bandai Mini Classic Voltron Figure

If you were a kid who grew up in the 80s or just a fan of the popular animated series Voltron then you have to check this out. Bandai has released a new mini-figure for pre-order that actually comes with 5 lions to combine into the defender of the universe Voltron or Beast King GoLion as he is known in Japan. Fully combined this figure stands at only approx. 7.1″ tall, but is still highly pose-able and very detailed. The paint scheme on this figure is nice and bright, and very reminiscent of the original animation. This new Voltron figure is going to be part of Bandai’s Shokugan Mini Pla series which means that the figures will have some die-cast in them.

The Predator Official Trailer and Thoughts

It’s been 8 years since we last saw the Predator in his own movie. Finally after all these years we get another stand alone Predator movie appropriately titled The Predator. I can’t tell you how excited I’ve been for this movie especially knowing that the original screen writer Shane Black signed on to write the script for this movie. We’ve been given movie posters, screen shots, and a trailer teaser but for a big Predator fan like myself all I’ve wanted to see is how he was going to look in this movie. Thankfully I have to say that this new Predator’s armor, weapons and mask look completely bad ass. However as for the movie it’s self, that might be another story.

Goodbye Moonmen – Rick and Morty

This is a little bit of a random post but it’s mainly because I told my wife that I want this song played at my funeral while being slowly lowered into the ground…No joke. For those of you that are fans (lets be honest who isn’t) of the animated, science fiction series Rick and Morty then this song will definitely sound familiar to you. However, if you have not seen this episode or for some reason haven’t watched the series, then let this little number wet your pallet. The song is titled Goodbye Moonmen and is featured in the 2nd episode of season 2, titled Mortynight Run. The song is sung by a gaseous being who assumes the name of Fart after meeting Rick and Morty. It’s absolute ridiculousness but it’s easily one of my favorite songs ever.

Ewoks Coming to Star Wars Battlefront 2

EA just announced a new game mode coming to Star Wars: Battlefront 2 that will let players relive the battle on the forest moon of Endor. Just like in Return of the Jedi, players will get to choose from Ewoks and Imperial stormtroopers for this specific match up. The new mode is called Ewok Hunt and will be available to play in Battlefront 2 on April 18. It has been a rough beginning for the latest game in the Star Wars Battlefront series but this might just be the thing to bring fans back to the game. The release of Star Wars Battlefront 2 was met with a lot of criticism from players when EA included a terrible loot crate system along with some very “in your face” micro transactions. However, the loot box system has since been removed from the game and micro transactions toned down, leading players to slowly make their way back to Battlefront 2.

Mark Hamill gets choked up filming with Yoda in TLJ

This is a very cool behind the scenes look at Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) filming a scene with Frank Oz (Yoda) on the set of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It’s like watching two old friends be reunited for the first time in decades. Essentially that is what is happening because even though Mark and Frank have reunited, this is the first time we see Luke and Yoda reunite since The Return of The Jedi was released back in 1983. For fans who saw The Last Jedi this was definitely an emotional moment and it’s really cool to see that it was for the actors as well. Check out the video below and be sure to let us know what you think of it Nerd Nation!
