Blade Runner Black Out 2022 Anime

Blade Runner 2049 is set to hit theaters in just a couple of weeks on October 13. It is the sequel to the 1982 science fiction classic starring Harrison Ford. Some of you may be wondering how a movie from 1982 will connect to a movie being released in 2017. The answer to that question as well as many others is of course…Anime! That’s right an original anime short titled Blade Runner Blackout 2022 has been created to connect the events of the 2 feature films. This is actually one of 3 short films that has been produced for the Blade Runner saga and it is directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, the genius behind Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo.

As I’m sure most of you know E3 is currently under way and there have already been a lot of awesome new games that have been revealed for this year and the next. One of the games that was revealed during the Microsoft press conference has us here at Nerdgasm Needs super excited. Yesterday we got our first short look at the game and today we actually have some full game footage and it looks awesome! If you are a fan of the Dragon Ball anime then this will definitely be a game at the top of your “must own” list.

Yamcha Finally Becomes a Hero?

For those of us that are Dragon Ball fans there are two usual reactions when we hear the name Yamcha. We either cringe or just start laughing. He isn’t known for being much of a force in the Dragon Ball series. In fact, he has been made into more of a joke thanks to some pretty hilarious internet memes. Well, all that might be about to change with the release of a new Dragon Ball manga mini-series. It’s titled Dragon Ball Gaiden: Tensei-shitara Yamcha Datta Ken or just Dragon Ball Gaiden for short and Yamcha finally gets to be the powerful hero that he has always wanted to be.

Ghost in the Shell Extended Clip (Video)

The live action Ghost in the Shell movie staring Scareltt Johansson is almost here and the more I see of it the more I like it. The famous rooftop jump scene that we have been seeing so much of lately has been released online and runs about 5 minutes long. Obviously this scene is a lot different than the original anime movie mainly because the Major is trying to save the target rather than kill him, but there are a lot of call backs to the original anime in it, right down to the awesome briefcase guns!

One Punch Man on Netflix

One Punch Man is undoubtedly one of the most popular anime series to come out of 2016. However, a lot of people have only seen parts of it or haven’t been able to watch it in English. As of right now you can watch the complete first season of One Punch Man on Netflix in both the original Japanese and newly dubbed English versions.
