It looks like 2017 is going to be the year of anime live action adaptations. First there was Ghost in The Shell and now the official teaser trailer for Death Note has been released. To be honest with you, this is one anime series that I have never actually watched so I can’t really judge the look and feel of this trailer on anything. Alien: Covenant Official Trailer (Video)

Finally we get to see the first official trailer for the latest movie in one of the best science fiction franchises, and that would be for the much anticipated Alien: Covenant. Personally I am a big fan of the entire Alien franchise (Yes even Alien 3 and the AVP movies) and Alien: Covenant is no exception. It placed eighth in my top 10 most anticipated Nerd movies of 2017 list, but after seeing this trailer I think I should have placed it even higher because it looks that good.

Netflix Playable Stranger Things 8-Bit Mini Game

So it looks like Netflix is getting into the gaming industry, as if taking over as the king of streaming video content wasn’t already good enough. Actually it’s not really that serious and I doubt they will be making any triple A gaming titles in the near future. However, they did just release an official 8-bit mini game based on their hit series Stranger Things. It’s online right now and free to play so if you are a fan of the series or even just a fan of the 80s and 90s in general, then this might be worth checking out.

That’s right, The Last of Us 2 is officially on it’s way but that’s not all. Sony actually had a pretty amazing looking trailer ready for gamers to view and it was just released today. This trailer is gritty and artistic very much in line with what we have come to know and love from The Last of Us.

Vampire Chronicles TV Series in the Works

For those of you that grew up in the 90s a little movie by the name of Interview with the Vampire probably defined how vampires should look and act for you. At the very least it depicted them with a sense of class and refinement that other vampires movies hadn’t done. I personally loved the movie and have not seen a vampire movie that I liked more than that one since. Interview with the Vampire was one small part of a much bigger story called the Vampire Chronicles. Personally I have never read the books but fans of both the books and the movies should be excited to know that original author Anne Rice is working on a TV series for fans.
