So the Deadpool musical is actually a thing and YES it’s as great as it sounds. Now don’t expect to see this in an actual Broadway play, but you can enjoy this awesome video from the Deadpool Said YouTube channel. Only Deadpool can take an iconic song from a Disney animated movie, throw in death and violence, and make it all work so well together. Not only that, but the video it’s self is very well done and looks pretty professional. If we didn’t know any better one might think this was an official Marvel project.
In honor of the new Power Rangers movie I thought this might be a good time to post this hilarious video. Back in the 90s when the original series first came out there was a little bit of possibly unintentional type casting going on. We were just kids at the time so of course most of us were oblivious to it, but as we got older it became glaringly obvious. This video from CollegeHumor is several years old but definitely relevant again with the release of the new movie.
I’ve heard some decent Geek rap parodies before but this might be the best one yet. Usually I’m not a huge fan of geek themed music videos but HufflePuff Puff Pass is pretty damn catchy. Haven’t heard many songs about the Hufflepuff crew. It seems as though Gryffindor and Slytherin always get the attention in these sort of things so it’s nice to throw some recognition to the friendliest house in Hogwarts every once in a while.
There is no doubt that our favorite movies, shows, games or anime series can be a large inspirations in our lives. However, did you ever think that it could possibly save your life one day? One kid found a way to survive one of the worst things imaginable by using his favorite anime character as inspiration. He was stung over 400 times by an angry group of killer bees and he used the Saiyan Prince Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z as his inspiration to fight his way to survival.
So I was playing Mario Run on my phone the other day and I began to wonder who played the voice of Mario. I figured it was common knowledge for me it isn’t. Voice actors come and go over the years and I wouldn’t have been surprised to find out that the voice of Mario in the games had changed through the course of his life. However, that is not the case. In fact one man has voiced Mario for the last 26 years and the best part is that he loves voicing the video game plumber and he loves playing the games.
I don’t know about you Nerd Nation, but one of the movies I am most excited for in 2017 is Spider-Man: Homecoming. I think under the direction of Marvel more than Sony we will finally get the Spider-Man movie that actually does the web head justice. Personally I loved Tom Holland’s portrayal of the wall crawler in Captain America: Civil War and can’t wait for the movie Homecoming to hit theaters. In the mean time I have enjoyed the trailer several times over and now we get to watch an awesome 8-bit version of it as well.
Have you ever battled it out with someone using old wrapping paper roles? I’m sure most of us have at some point in our lives because those make great swords/light sabres. Well take that concept and turn it up to 11 and you have BoxWars! Box wars is essentially a cosplayers dream because you can use your creativity to create awesome looking armor and weapons, then use them for glorious battle, and finally destroy them without caring too much because it’s all made out of cardboard.
