The Last of Us 2 E3 2018 Gameplay Trailer

This year’s E3 has been awesome and last night we got to see Sony’s press conference. Though the presentation wasn’t that great they showed off some really cool looking games, one of them being The Last of Us Part II. The last time we saw anything from Naughty Dog was last year in October when they dropped a really intense cinematic trailer for The Last of Us Part II. In case you missed it click here to check it out. However, this new trailer shows off some amazing looking gameplay footage that definitely amps up the intensity from the first game as well as some beautiful cinematics. I can’t wait for this game to come out and continue the story of Ellie and Joel.

The E3 2018 Gameplay reveal trailer for The Last of Us Part II is almost 12 minutes long and looks absolutely amazing. For a moment you almost feel as though the world has gotten better and that people are returning to life as normal. However, all of that false sense of security quickly comes crashing down as we see that Ellie is still in a fight for survival, and is much more savage than she was in the last game. The environments look absolutely stunning in this game and really shows off the power of the PS4 Pro. As beautiful as these environments are it is very apparent that this new world is deadly and heartless. However, one thing I noticed was the lack of clickers in this trailer. We didn’t even get to see one, but the people seem to be just as deadly if not more so.

The combat system looks to be pretty intuitive and being able to craft and combine items on the fly could definitely save your life. The enemy AI is deadly and actually communicate with each other. In the last one I was so impressed by the way the human enemies moved and behaved during fights that it almost seemed like you should be able to reason with them. In this one it is very similar in the sense that these enemy AI seem so life like and the details in their character models is incredible. However, you can tell that these “people” have no interest in being allies and are not looking to make new friends. You better kill them first before they overwhelm you with their numbers.

All in all The Last of Us Part II looks like an amazing game and I personally can’t wait for it’s release. In fact, I think I will be upgrading to a PS4 Pro specifically for this and a few other games coming out.
