Spider-Man Visits Children in Hurricane Shelter

Hurricane Harvey has been one of, if not the most destructive and deadly storms in the history of the United States. However, in the midst of all the destruction and devastation caused by Harvey it has some how managed to bring out the best in people. America has rallied together to help the families that have been devastated by the storm and believe it or not, our favorite web head has managed to find his way down to Houston to help lift spirits. That’s right Spider-Man himself visited the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston which has received more than 9,000 evacuees. This is an awesome example of someone doing what they can to help out people in desperate need right now.

This particular Spidey goes by the name of thehoustonspider on Instagram and I highly recommend that you go follow him. There is no doubt in my mind that this guy truly embodies the heroic qualities of Spider-Man and has definitely become one of my favorites on Insta. He didn’t do this for attention and he wasn’t paid for his time. He just saw people in need and decided to do what he could to help out. I don’t know about you Nerd Nation, but that definitely qualifies as a hero in my book. If anyone reading this is interested in donating either their time or money to helping out the victims of hurricane Harvey then just click here to go to the Red Cross donation page.

The best part is that this is only one of many examples of people being heroic to help out so many families in need. So check the awesome videos below of Spider-Man visiting some children and their families at a local relief shelter and let it inspire you. As always, we want to hear from you Nerd Nation.
