Judd Nelson Returning to The Transformers Universe

30 years after Judd Nelson originally voiced the character of Hot Rod in the 1986 Transformers animated movie, he is once again returning to reprise his role in a new Transformer series. The NEW streaming series will be titled Titans Return and will also feature the voices of Jason David Frank (The Green Ranger/Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) and Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher/ Star Trek: The Next Generation). Another awesome announcement is the return of Peter Cullen as the voice of the iconic Optimus Prime. Unfortunately he was absent in the last Transformers streaming series titled Combiner Wars. Both Combiner Wars and The Titans Return are exclusive to the streaming service Go90.

Unfortunately because of this I never got to watch Combiner Wars except for what was released on Machinima. Personally I think this is a mistake on Hasobro’s part by making these mini-series exclusive to such a relatively small streaming service. Titans Return is set to debut this November on Go90 with ten approximately 11 minute episodes. If the animation and CGI are as good as the Combiner Wars then this should make for another awesome looking series, especially with Judd Nelson and Peter Cullen making his return as Hot Rod and Optimus. Now the question is will this actually be Hot Rod or Rodimus Prime? From what I understand Rodimus Prime was already in the Combiner Wars web series but voiced by another actor.

Anyway, only time will tell which version of Hot Rod we will see but one thing is for sure, it’s good to have Judd Nelson back as an Autobot. As laways we want to hear from you Nerd Nation.
