Halo 3 Room Locked for 10 Years…Until Now

Halo 3 is arguably one of the best games to ever grace the Xbox 360. I for one have very fond memories of playing Halo 3 for endless hours with my friends. In fact, it was the whole reason I bought an Xbox 360 over the PlayStation 3 at the time. One of the best parts about the game was the amazing campaign mode that was filled with action mystery, and some hidden secrets. Some of those secrets were meant to be found while others in the game where never meant for fans to see. However, one group of dedicated players spent 10 years trying to get into an area of the map that was blocked but eventually their hard work and tireless efforts paid off.

The room is called the Cage and is located at the very end of the Sierra 117 mission. The mission itself is very memorable but the cage, not so much. I remember playing this particular mission several times over in my lifetime but I never paid much attention to the inconspicuous room at the end of the level. The entrance is blocked with bars preventing any players from simply walking into it and the majority of gamers simply walk past it and finish the mission. The amount of time, effort, and just plain trial and error it took to get in there is definitely an achievement all on it’s own. However, the room it’s self is nothing special but the fact that these guys are probably the only players to have ever entered it is pretty awesome.

The video below comes from the Termacious Trickocity YouTube page and goes through every single step it took for the team to finally make it into this room. I definitely understand the curiosity because I know there have been plenty of games that I have played that had areas blocked off to players. Hell, I’ve even spent several minutes or maybe even close to an hour trying to figure out a way into or past a barricade. However, this team takes gaming dedication to a whole new level (pun intended). So check out the Halo 3 Cage Glitch/Trick video below and as always, let us know what you think Nerd Nation. Do you think it was worth the time spent trying to get into this particular room and what other locked areas or rooms would you like to see hacked? Be sure to let us know your thoughts on this by leaving them in a comment below, on the Facebook page, or hit us up on the Twitter page @Nerdgasmneeds.
