Joe Manganiello Confirmed To Be Deathstroke

Just a few weeks ago we got a sweet little teaser video released to us by none other than Batman himself, Ben Affleck. The purpose of the shaky amateur video was to announce that Deathstroke will be apart of the DC cinematic universe. Since then the internet has been a buzz with questions about who could possibly be behind the one eyed mask playing the role of Slade Wilson. Well we finally got our answer today as it was officially made known that Joe Manganiello will be playing the deadly mercenary.

For those of you that might not be familiar with Joe’s work most likely you’ve probably seen him in something and just didn’t know his name. It happens to me all the time. Joe Manganiello has been in True Blood, the Magic Mike movies, Pee Wee’s Big Holiday and even played Flash Thompson in the 2002 Spider-Man movie. DC Entertainment president and chief creative officer Geoff Johns (2 first names lol) confirmed the casting in a recent statement to the Wall Street Journal while discussing his new role overseeing DC’s movie universe.

I think he has a great look for a younger but still gritty mercenary, and will be a very formidable enemy for the Dark Knight. So far there is still no word on weather or not Deathstroke will appear in the Justice League movie or when exactly the stand alone Batman movie will be heading to theaters. However I think it is off to a great start with their villain casting choice.

As always I want to hear from you Nerd Nation. Do you think that Joe Manganiello was the right choice to play Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke, or do you think another actor would have been better suited for the role?
