Watch Dogs 2 Premiere Announcement and Trailer (Video)

And so it starts folks. All those glossy trailers from E3 are here sooner than we thought. Ubisoft US just released the first cinematic trailer for Watch Dogs 2 and it is definitely glossy. I have to admit that I wasn’t a big fan of the first one and only played it for a short while before I traded it in for something different. However, this cinematic trailer for Watch Dogs 2 has really peaked my interest and has already convinced me to give Ubisoft another chance with this franchise.

The first thing that stands out to me is how visually stunning this trailer is. The second thing is, the awesome song that was used for this really sets a unique tone for this game that seems a lot different from the original Watch Dogs game. After watching the announcement video and the trailer (both posted below) it is obvious that this time around Ubisoft is trying to give a lot more personality to the main character and the open world environment that players will be able to explore.

watch-dogs-2-02Watch Dogs 2 is set in the iconic bay area city of San Fransisco which is almost a polar opposite to the city of Chicago that was featured in the first game. You play as a hacker by the name of Marcus Holloway who is on a journey to “pull off the Hack of the Century” by shutting down ctOS 2.0. For those of you that played the first game you’ll remember the ctOS surveillance system from the first game as well. However there are street gangs, corporations, and other hacking groups that stand in your way.
