No Elder Scrolls VI Anytime Soon

It’s been 5 years since Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released and 3 years since the last DLC for it was released. I don’t know about you guys but I think another Elder Scrolls adventure is over due. Sure we got Skyrim Remastered coming in October and don’t get me wrong I am very excited for that, but I am also ready for something new. Most Elder Scroll fans were hoping that we might hear some news about Elder Scrolls VI at E3 this year but sadly there was nothing. Worst of all we got confirmation recently that Bathesda is not working on an Elder Scrolls VI game at all.

In a recent Twitter exchange Bethesda marketing executive Pete Hines said “We aren’t working on TES6 at the moment” in response HotShame’s twitter account. Now these words could mean a lot of things, but I think it’s pretty clear that a new Elder Scrolls game is not Bethesda’s highest priority right now. As much as I wish it was, it looks like we will just have to keep being patient for the moment. Again, I am still very excited for Elder Scrolls V: Skryim Special Edition. Being a console player I personally can’t wait to revisit the land of Skyrim in all of it’s HD glory.

As always I want to hear your thoughts on this Nerd Nation. What do you think Pete Hines meant when he said “We aren’t working on TES6 at the moment“? Also, what are your expectations and thought on the release of Skyrim Special Edition? Be sure to let me know what you think by leaving me your thoughts in a comment below, on the Facebook page, or hit me up on the Twitter page @Nerdgasmneeds.
