Son of Zorn Official Trailer (Video)

Fox comes out with some crazy shows. Some of them are gold and others not so much. Son of Zorn actually looks pretty entertaining although I don’t know how long the novelty of it will last. We’ve seen Fox try shows featuring puppets and live action before, but not animation and live action. However I do like that the animation is a call back to old cartoons like He-Man, Conan, and even the way old school cartoon Thundarr The Barbarian.

Description taken from Son of Zorn Youtube page; Featuring the voice of Jason Sudeikis (THE LAST MAN ON EARTH, “Horrible Bosses,” “We’re the Millers”), SON OF ZORN is a new hybrid live-action/animated comedy about an animated warrior from a faraway island in the Pacific Ocean – where everything and everyone is animated – who returns to Orange County, CA, to win back his live-action ex-wife and teenage son. ZORN (Sudeikis), the Defender of Zephyria, Conqueror of the tribes of Agon, decapitator of the dark herdsmen of Grith, has fought in countless epic battles throughout his life, but may find the greatest challenge of all when travels back to suburbia to reconnect with his family.

son-of-zorn-02Interesting take on the down on his luck father trying to win back his family. In all honesty the show looks pretty entertaining and has some funny moments in the trailer. However, I think I would have liked to have seen someone with a more believable barbarian voice to play the role of Zorn. I could totally picture this being the perfect role for Patrick Warburton. Still I will probably watch the pilot episode when it comes to the FOX Network later on this year.

Anyway, check out the first official trailer for Son of Zorn and let me know what you think Nerd Nation.
