Kuromukuro Anime Coming To Netflix (Video)
I’m a sucker for giant mecha anime and Kuromukuro is filled with giant mecha and looks completely awesome. There are so many great anime series out and on the way, but this one I’m really excited about. According to AnimeNewsNetwork “the 15th anniversary project of the anime studio P.A. Works, announced on Thursday that Netflix has exclusive worldwide streaming rights to the anime” and it will be available on the popular streaming network beginning April 11.
Now that April 11th date is for Japan only but fear not because the P.A. Works website also stated that they would make Kuromukuro available for other countries at a later date. Unfortunately there were no other specifics given about when this series will be available outside of Japan. Either way this anime looks awesome and I am very excited for it. The animation looks great, the story line seems really interesting, the music is compelling, and there is giant robots. Honestly this is a win for anyone who loves anime.
A quick plot summary of Kuromukuro goes a little something like this; During the construction of the Kurobe Dam, an ancient artifact was discovered, and so the United Nations Kurobe Research Institute was established. Intellectuals from all over the world gathered to study the object, and the children of those researchers attend Mt. Tate International Senior High School, including the institute head’s daughter, Yukina Shirahane. In the summer of 2016, a lone samurai once again awakens.
