First HD Image of Spider-Man’s Costume
The second trailer is out for Captain America: Civil War and if you haven’t seen it yet, fear not because you can just Click Here to go watch it. In this latest trailer we get our first look at the web head himself for the very first time. There has been a ton of speculation over the past several months about what Spider-Man’s new costume was going to look like. Well we finally got to see it, but was it what fans were hoping for?
My initial feelings about the new Spider-Man costume were mixed. I was excited to see him for the first time in the MCU, however he looked a little too CGI for my taste. I could be wrong about the body but his costume looked more than just skin tight to me. At least his shoulders and head looked to be CGI. As far as the costume design its self you can definitely see a definite Alex Ross influence especially in the face. I actually think I like that they went with CGI for the face/eyes because they can get more emotion from his face that we couldn’t get with the previous versions of Spidey.
A couple things that I don’t really like about the new spidey suit are the black rubber looking sections on the red and blue areas. I’m not sure if their is an actual purpose for them but to me they very much look like an after thought. Also, I’m not a fan of those those weird black clips on the sides of his waist which I can only assume are for web cartridges. Again nothing is known for sure about them and this is a really quick look that we got at the new costume. All in all however, I do like this new costume a lot and I can’t wait to see Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War.
Anyway, have a closer look for yourselves thanks to Marvel and the HD image they posted earlier today. You can check out the picture below and click on it to see it full size. As always I want to know what you think about the new Spidey costume? How did you feel to finally see the wall crawler in the MCU and what do you think about his new costume design?
