The Transformers Music Album Coming Soon (Video)
There is no doubt that one of the biggest things to come out of the 80s is the mega franchise known as the Transformers. They’ve had five major theatrical movie releases including the animated movie back in the 80s, numerous video games and TV incarnations, and now it looks like they are trying to break out into the music industry. It has been announced that a brand new music album based on the Robots in Disguise is in the works and will be available for purchase very soon.
The new Transformers inspired album will be titled Transformers Roll Out and is set to release sometime in April of this year. It was announced earlier today by Hasbro Studios. The album will consist of ten tracks performed by a mix of established artists, as well as some up-and-coming bands from the alternative, rock and indie pop genres. Even the band Bush is doing a song titled This House is on Fire for the album. Personally, nothing will be as iconic or as compelling for me as the music from the 1986 Transformers movie, but this has definitely peaked my curiosity.
I have posted two sample tracks below for your listening pleasure. I have listened to them and I’m going to be honest, these songs aren’t doing it for me, especially being a huge fan of the Transformers. This honestly has Bayformers written all over it and doesn’t actually seems like its a service to fans at all. I’m gonna reserve my final judgement for when the entire album is released but so far it’s not looking too good. Transformers Roll out will be available for digital download April 13. Limited CD and vinyl releases will be offered exclusively through FYE stores. I didn’t even know those still existed.
So give a listen to the sample tracks below and as always let me know what you think Nerd Nation.
