TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan Game (Video)
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles seem to be more popular than ever. With the continued success of their TV series, and a second movie on the way this year, there seems to be no better time to release a video game for the latest generation of game consoles. The cool thing is that this TMNT game doesn’t seem to tie in with either the cartoon series or the movie franchise. It’s been a while since I’ve played a ninja turtles game but this one might be worth checking out.
Official description take from ActivisionGames YouTube page; Battle alongside your brothers through the sewers, subways, and streets of NYC to take down Shredder and Krang’s evil organization, Foot by Foot. Unleash custom combat skills and powerful team combos to save Manhattan from the overwhelming dark forces growing in the shadows. The story seems pretty interesting and if you are a Turtles fan then this seems very fitting for the heroes in a half shell.
I love that the turtles, shredder, and the foot clan feel like what we originally loved about this universe. The turtles and villains look good but have also been updated a bit so as not to feel stale. However, that only thing I am worried about with this game is how it is actually going to play. It looks like another simple hack and slash game with very repetitive game play. I hope that there is more depth to it, with some rpg elements to unlock different moves and possibly some stealth missions as well. Still I definitely want to check it out because I love the Ninja Turtles.
