X-Men Apocalypse Official Trailer (Video)

In the midst of all these major movies coming out I almost forgot about Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse. We’ve seen the release of four major movie trailers in the last three weeks and all of a sudden this X-Men trailer just pops up out of no where. I guess 20th Century Fox wanted to get in on the action and has unveiled the first official trailer for next year’s X-Men movie and I’m sorry to say that I am feeling a bit underwhelmed by it.

First of all it doesn’t seem very exciting and as hard as they tried to make Apocalypse menacing this just doesn’t convey that he is one of the strongest and most powerful enemies that the X-Men have ever faced. On top of that his voice is not very menacing at all. I think back to the 90s animated series and his voice was deep and powerful. Even thinking about the Egyptian influence it reminds me of the original Stargate movie. Even though the main enemy in that movie was just a young kid (well an alien disguised as a young kid) he still had a really deep and menacing voice.

Honestly I think Apocalypse is worthy of a two part movie like the Civil war is being done over at Marvel. Oh well, check out the trailer below and judge for yourself.
