Real Life First Person Shooter (Video)
It’s crazy how people come up with new and innovative ways to bond with other people through technology. Things like Chatroulette, Skype, and other video chat services let us connect with people in different parts of the world that other wise we would probably never meet. As cool as that is, someone found a way to take it to the next level (see what I did there) and used those services to create an interactive first person shooter that people from all over the world could play.
This might be one of the most original things I’ve seen on the internet in a long time. RealmPictures has put a lot of time and effort into creating an experience that is most definitely unique. Actors, props, and a lot of awesome tech went in to making a real time first person shooter using real people. The player finds themselves controlling a character in what looks to be the zombie apocalypse. They have to navigate their character through a large church, while looking for secret weapons, killing zombies, and even facing a giant demon boss at the end.
The whole thing took a lot of people working together but the final result looks like a ton of fun for both the players and the crew that put it all together. I love innovative things like this and honestly I could see how something like this might just be a new form of gaming. Could you imagine a live action real time video game that you could play whenever you wanted? No two experiences would ever be the same. OK maybe I’m reaching just a bit but you never know.
Anyways, check out the video below and let me know what you think Nerd Nation. Does this look like something you would want to play? Leave me your thoughts in a comment below, on the Facebook page, or Tweet me @nerdgasmneeds.
