Predator Coming To Mortal Kombat X

So it was announced last week that Jason Voorhees would be a downloadable character in the latest addition of the Mortal Kombat franchise. That doesn’t sound very exciting to me, but maybe it was to some of you. The official announcement today (after an accidental news leak by Xbox) is that the Predator will be joining to Mortal Kombat X roster. I’m a huge fan of the Predator movies and have read some of the books that followed. This actually makes me interested in picking up the game.

Mortal Kombat X will hit shelves April 14th for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. It’s been a long time since I’ve owned and played a Mortal Kombat game. I think the last one I had and possibly played was Mortal Ultimate Kombat 3. That was a great game and with the announcement of The Predator as a new playable character, I’m think there is no time like the present to get back into it. This also got me thinking about a very under rated but entertaining game that I use to own also.

Image-for-Predator-in-Mortal-Kombat-XRaise your hand if you remember the game Predator: Concrete Jungle. I’m going to go off good faith that those of you who do remember are raising your hands right now. Predator: Concrete Jungle was so much fun because it really was the first game that allowed you to be the predator the entire time and really did it right. The weapons, the gadgets, even all of the sound effects gave you the feel of being a young Yautja hunter. Oh and you can put your hands down now. That game didn’t get great reviews but I know I had a ton of fun with it and they left it completely open for a sequel. Unfortunately for us fans, that sequel never came.

Anyways, I wan to hear from you Nerd Nation. Are you excited about the addition of the Predator as a playable character in Mortal Kombat X and do you think it’s about time he gets his own game once again? Leave me your thoughts in a comment below, on the Facebook page or hit me up on the Twitter! Update Here’s the first look at the Predator and the other downloadable characters in Kombat Pack. Honestly I’m not super impressed with these graphics.
