Batman Has PTSD? (Video)

Wow, Batman gets a brutally honest diagnosis of the condition that causes him to be Batman in the first place. Now I know from personal experience that PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) is definitely not something to joke about, but in this context I think you’ll find it enlightening and maybe get a laugh out of it at the expense of a fictional character. Someone obviously put a lot of time and effort into diagnosing him so we might as well check it out. I actually found it pretty interesting.

2013064-fabokbatmanWe know the old story of poor Bruce Wayne who watched his parents die in a brutal fashion right in front of him. I think we’ve all thought at one point or another “Who wouldn’t be screwed up after something like that?” However, I think that’s about as far as we take our thought process on that subject, and go back to enjoying the fact that he became a bad ass crime fighter. However, watching this video was a bit eye opening and actually game me a little bit more insight on myself…is that weird?

Ultimately I believe we all have hidden issues that lie below the surface of what we see on a daily basis. Everyone has different ways in which they choose to cope with those issues, and in this case Bruce Wayne decided to dress like a bat and beat the shit out of criminal scum. The funny thing is (and I mean funny in an interesting way), the rest of us would have to go through years of therapy to learn to control our violent and aggressive tendencies where as Bruce just gave in to them and releases all that on to people who society might say deserves it…

Anyways check out this cool video from Wisecrack and see if it kind of makes you view the Batman a little differently. As always I want to know what you think Nerd Nation to you agree with her diagnosis and do you have anything to add?
