Attack on Titan Attraction (Video)

What up Nerd Nation, it’s your boy Tenacious-T. It seems like I’ve said this phrase a thousand times and I’m going to say it again. Japan get’s all the cool stuff. I’ve posted before about the Resident Evil attraction at Universal Studios Japan all the way back in March of last year, (Click Here to see that) but now they have gone and officially made me jealous. They’re latest attraction is based of the hugely popular anime and manga series Attack on Titan. For those of you that have followed me for a while know that I absolutely love that series.

The attraction doesn’t officially open until Friday (tomorrow) but some people are already getting their first small glimpse of what looks to be outside the actual attraction. It’s called Attack on Titan The Real much like the Bio-Hazard The real for the Resident evil themed one. Outside you can see large scale statues of Erin in his titan form fighting a female titan. There is also a pretty cool sculpture that you can take pictures with of a titan that looks like its about to feast on you.

According to Kotaku there are some very life like (and creepy looking) manikins through out the attraction of the main characters (Armin, Levi, and Mikasa) as well as food that is based on the expeditionary rations of the Survey Corps. All in all this things sounds pretty cool and is part of “Universal Cool Japan” limited event. Unfortunately this attraction along with attractions based off of Monster Hunter, Evangelion and Resident Evil will only be there until May 10th. I don’t know about you guys, but going through the world of Attack on Titan would probably be more terrifying than just about anything else. Although this attraction looks like it evokes fun more than terror.

So if you are in the Osaka area try and check out Universal Studios Japan. As always i want to know your thoughts on this Nerd Nation. Would you like to see things like this come to the States and if not these are there any other anime or manga series that you think could do well here? Leave me your thoughts in a comment below, on Facebook or on Twitter and be sure to watch the video below.
