Live Action Naruto Film

Welcome to Fan Made Friday where we take a look at some of the best Fan made videos from around the net. This week we’re featuring an awesome short film influenced by the largely popular Anime and Manga series, Naruto. Personally I am a big fan of the series though I have never read any of the Manga. I have seen just about every episode of the two Anime series. This one is based off the later series. The film is called Naruto Shippuden: Dreamers Fight and comes from the good people over at RivenX3i YouTube channel.

narutocaptureThis is honestly one of the best and most accurate live action fan films I’ve seen in any genre. I’m not sure if it’s because they are speaking in Japanese instead of English but the acting and dialog just seem so much better than a lot of other fan films I’ve seen. I’m not fluent in Japanese by any means but I can tell that the accents are a little rough and it seems to me that the two actors aren’t fluent in Japanese either. Still, I think it was a good choice not to use English. It also gives it that more authentic feel as well. The costumes aren’t too over the top but also seem pretty true to the anime.

The visual effects and fight choreography are very well done also. Everything seems to have a really nice balance and combined with the actual camera work it all comes together very satisfyingly. It’s a little long at about twenty minutes, so you have to set a side some time to watch it, but I definitely think it’s worth it. For anyone that is a Naruto fan or even just a fan of “fan films” Naruto Shippuden: Dreamers Fight is a must watch.

As always I want to know what you think Nerd Nation. did you enjoy this short film as much as I did and if so, what characters would you like to see them put in the next one? Check out the video below and leave me your thoughts in a comment below, on the Facebook page, or you can hit me up on Twitter…Enjoy!
