Ginger Bread Serenity

For all you loyal Firefly fans out there this should put a smile on your face. Nothing gets you in the holiday spirit quite like a ginger bread Serenity! Honestly though, this thing is pretty cool. The detail is actually really good and I can’t even imagine how you would begin to bake something like that. Joss Whedon’s epic, science fiction adventure shall forever be immortalized in this amazing pastry art…or at least until someone gets hungry.

Crossguard Lightsaber (Video)

Apparently Master Ken from EnterTheDojoShow is a world renowned martial artist who is an expert with many different style of weapons. Who better then to show us some practical uses for the new “crossguard lightsaber” that was revealed in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser? No one, that’s who! It’s obvious that Master Ken takes his training videos very seriously, almost as seriously as he takes his mustache. Ok, maybe he’s not quite that serious about it.

So there has been a lot of talk about the look and the functionality of the new light saber design from the Force Awakens. I honestly don’t mind it as much as some people and in a world where light sabers actually clash together rather than pass right through each other, it might actually be pretty functional. Check out the video below to see a pretty funny demonstration of said functionality.Obviously this video (and post) were meant to be humorous, but I still think it actually helps to prove that crossguards on a light saber aren’t such a bad idea.

As always I want to hear your thoughts on this Nerd Nation. Do you like the look of the new light saber from The Force Awakens and do you think the crossguards would actually be functional on such a weapon. Leave me your thoughts in a comment below, on the Facebook page, or hit me up on Twitter.

Feel The Force MotherF*cker

Haha this cracks me up every time. No matter what there are always going to be those few movie roles that you can’t help but think of when someone mentions Samuel L. Jackson. For me, Jules in Pulp Fiction is one and Mace Windu in Star Wars is another. Anyways, I hope you all had a great weekend and that this helps start your week off right. Happy Monday Nerd Nation!
