Famous Voice Actress Passes Away

A sad day in the entertainment world and especially for those of us who grew up watching cartoons in the early to late 90s. The legendary voice actress Christine Cavanaugh passed away at the age of 51 just before Christmas. You may not know her name, but you definitely know her voice. She was the voice of Babe the pig (original), Chuckie (RugRats), Dexter (Dexter’s Laboratory), Gosalyn (Darkwing Duck) and more.

Tattuesday

Lets start this Tuesday off with some Nerdgasmic Geek Ink! I pretty much love any thing that has to do with the web head and this tattoo including the symbiote is just plain Bad Ass. The only change I would have made to it would probably be to have it fade out at the bottom rather than just stop with a hard edge. Otherwise, I love it. For more Nerdgasmic tattoos, check out the Geek Ink photo album on our Facebook page.

Awesome Manga Cafe (Video)

So I stumbled across a YouTube channel that I really like and takes viewers to different places through out Japan. The WAORYU ONLYinJAPAN channel has done some really great episodes on many different things that you will only find in Japan. One of them was about a cafe that can double as a hotel, and has just about everything a manga lover could want. I have to admit that the amount of manga available in a place like this is almost overwhelming.

Deadly Winter

Hey guys, welcome to Winter. I Took a short break to be with family and rejuvenate myself, but I hope that everyone had a great Christmas. So we are officially into winter so make sure you all stay safe out there and take the necessary precautions to protect yourself from the cold this year. Happy Monday Nerd Nation!

The Great Martian War (Video)

Apparently this video is actually for a mini series of some sort that will or has already appeared on the History Channel. To read all about it and get an episode guide, just Click Here to go to The Great Martian War History Channel page. This is a crazy piece of video. I can’t even imagine how scary it must have been to be fighting a war in a foreign country especially back in 1914. I mean fighting any war at any time must be one of the most terrifying things in the world. However, if we had been facing extinction from alien robots I think it would have been a million times scarier considering all the different factors, and technological limitations of the early 1900s.

Assassins Christmas

By the time you see this Santa Claus, it’s already too late haha. Only 2 days until Christmas and I hope you guys are as excited as I am. I’ve always loved this time of year especially ever since I became a parent. I love getting into the spirit with my kids and seeing their faces light up on Christmas morning. Anyways, I hope you guys are having a great holiday season and a happy Tuesday!

Dr. Evil on SNL (Video)

Dr. Evil (Mike Myers) makes his triumphant return by hijacking a broadcast of  Sam Smith’s (Taran Killam) Christmas special to address North Korea and Sony Pictures directly about the hack. Honestly I think a fictitious Sam Smith Christmas special would probably be funnier than actually watching SNL these days, but it was good to see Mike Myers reprise his role as the diabolical Dr. Evil.

Marvel vs DC Epic Trailer (Video)

This is truly the Michael Bay version of a fan made trailer. It has plenty of slow motion, explosions, explosions in slow motion, lens flares, and staring! Honestly though this is actually pretty cool and really well done, especially when you consider that it was made purely for the fun of it. We all know that the war between DC and Marvel fans has been going strong for decades, but nothing would excite either side more than to see a cross over where the greatest heroes and villains from both sides square off, in an epic battle for the ages.
