Batman TV Series on Blu-Ray

I remember watching the 1960s Batman TV Series back when I was a kid. Ok, so I’m not old enough to have seen it when it originally aired. In fact, it was well in to syndication when I saw it back in the early 90s. I think they showed it on the “Family channel” which has since become ABC Family. As a kid I really enjoyed it and that was even after seeing Tim burton’s Batman almost a hundred times. Although I enjoyed it, I haven’t really had the desire to watch it again, that is until Warner Bros. announced the release of the entire series on Blu-Ray.

Arriving on November 11th (3 days before my birthday) Batman The Complete Television Series will be available on Blu-Ray DVD in a very nice collectors box set. Some of the features of the set will include, all 120 episodes of the show, the Batgirl pilot episode, as well as Burt Ward’s screen test. It also comes with a pretty sweet Hot Wheels replica Batmobile. I absolutely think that the Batman TV series is an important piece of pop culture history and I would love for my kids to see and experience it for the first time. The most impressive part in all of this is how amazing the show looks after being digitally restored. The colors are so much richer and the fuzzy washed out look is completely gone.

I think most of you would agree that this is a must buy for any batman or classic TV series fan.
