Vegeta’s Inspirational (Video)

Some of you out there may be going through what seems like the worst time of your life right now…I know I am. It would be easy for us to give up and just quit. But I’m here to tell you that NOTHING ever stays bad FOREVER. I’m here to tell you, that you are more than a conqueror. It sounds so cliche when someone says that “today is the first day of the rest of my life”…but it’s the truth. Today is a new day and today can be better than yesterday and tomorrow can be better than today. If we have enough good days we might just have a good week, and if we have enough good weeks we might just be able to have a good month.

Some days we need more than entertainment and funny memes to motivate us to success. Some days we need to draw inspiration from the things that we are passionate about. If no one has said this to you today then I’m glad I get to be the first.

Everything is going to be OK. You will make it through this and I believe in you.

Maybe I’m just feeling super emotional today but I believe that someone out there needs to hear this. Those are words that I needed to hear from my friends and family. Some rose to the occasion and others did not. I leaned on the ones that did and I personally don’t want to be the one who fails my friends or family when they need me the most.

Below is a video that I hope will help you find a new perspective and re-energize you to keep moving forward. It features a character that has truly struggled to find his place in this world. The ever tenacious prince of all Saiyans is here to give you a boost of confidence along with some other equally awesome speeches from various movies…Enjoy!

Star Wars Rebels: Art Attack Short (Video)

As we know the much anticipated new Star Wars animated series is almost here, and to satisfy our cravings Disney has released a three minute short featuring the color/art obsessed Sabine. In this clip she lends her unique and artistic skills to create a diversion for some unsuspecting and somewhat incompetent storm troopers (would we expect anything less). She does look pretty cool and the more I see of this series the more I look forward to actually watching it. However, I’m still not a huge fan of this art style and it looks like it might be targeted towards a much younger audience.

Honestly the storm troopers armor looks a bit more like it’s made of marshmallows in some scenes. Even the old Clone Wars cartoon seem to have a bit more grittiness to it and not just in the art style. As fun as this show looks, it almost looks a bit too much fun. I don’t get a real sense of danger for the characters which could get old after a while. I guess only time will tell, but in the mean time check out this latest look at Star Wars Rebels. The one hour series premier is scheduled to premiere in October on Disney XD.

As always I want to hear you thoughts on this Nerd Nation. How do you think the series is looking so far and are you excited for it. Do you think that it will hold up against the Clone Wars? Leave me a comment below or on the Facebook page.

Anime Food

Oh man, abviously I’m not the only who thinks this. In fact, I think this every time I watch Anime and someone is eating. Nothing in my kitchen ever compares and I’m just left feeling empty inside lol. i think animators do this on purpose…maybe its a conspiracy…a very delicious conspiracy.

Babylon 5 Movie

Ok, I’m about to Nerd Out real good right now. Babylon 5 is a show that I haven’t even thought about for years. However, my Dad and I use to watch this show on a weekly basis on UPN 13 Haha. I loved the show dare I say even more than any of the Star Trek series. I loved the B5 station and the starfury fighters including the epic way they always launched them. The race that had the most awesome fighters and gear though had to be to the Vorlon. For those of you who don’t know or don’t remember who the Vorlon are I’ve provided a picture below. The series ran from 1994 to 1998 and I believe had a TV movie or two that went along with it.

Creator J. Michael Straczynski let it be known that plans for a new Babylon 5 movie are in the works. In fact, he stated that he would like to have as many of the original cast as possible reprise their roles for this movie. More details were given in a recent interview from Comic Con that Straczynski did with TVwise.

From TVwise;
The hope is that Warner Bros, who produced the Babylon 5 television series, would step up and green-light a “big budget” feature film once the script has been completed. But owing to the nature of the deal that Straczysnki inked with the studio to produce Babylon 5 in the early 1990s, he, rather than Warner Bros, owns the feature film rights to the show. Should Warner Bros. choose not to greenlight a B5 movie, Straczynski would still proceed with the feature, which would then be funded and produced through his Studio JMS banner on a budget of $80 – $100 million.

Now that is some passion if I ever saw it. The great thing is, this doesn’t actually sound like a reboot as Mr. Straczynski also said “I’d love to see Bruce as the President of the Earth Alliance.” I honestly think it would be better for Warner Bros. to just stay out of it because it would actually take off any restrictions that they might try to place on this project. We know how much big budget studios love to change or completely disregard source material. So far no release date has been given but I’ll keep you updated if I hear any more information.

As always I want to know what you think Nerd Nation. Were any of you out there fans of Babylon 5 the TV series and what do you think about a movie that could possible carry on the story? Let me know your thoughts in a comment below or on the Facebook page.

Hamburgler Got Busted!

Saw this picture earlier today and it cracked me the hell up. Obviously this would just be hilarious to see especially for those of us who grew up in the 80s and 90s. The funniest part is I don’t think any kids even know who the Hambugler is anymore.

Titanfall: Free The Frontier (Video)

I’m honestly surprised to see that someone has already decided to make a live action adaptation of Microsoft’s exclusive first person shooter. Usually it takes several years and a few game sequels for someone to realize how popular and profitable something like this can be. However, this does not seem to be the case with TitanFall. The series will be called “Free The Frontier” and is a collaboration between Respawn Entertainment (the creators of Titanfall) and Playfight which is a VFX studio. The following preview was revealed at Gamescom 2014 earlier this week.

Both the trailer and the actual game are a testament to how far the technology in visual effects has come. This “live action” series has a pretty heavy element of CGI, which is expected considering the sci-fi elements that exist in the Titanfall universe. There is still no word (at least none that I’ve heard) on when this series will actually air. Here is the official description from Playfight’s website;

“We’re excited to unveil the next installment in the Titanfall live action series. Developed by the extraordinarily talented Playfight team, the Titanfall universe again comes to life in this visceral prequel” noted Dusty Welch – Chief Operating Officer of Respawn.
Playfight is proud to continue building a live action epic around the Titanfall universe with ongoing plans to expand the series in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment. Director William Chang follows up his directorial debut of Titanfall: Free The Frontier with the second installment, blending high octane action with lightning paced visual effects. The Playfight team is dedicated to bringing faithful and exhilarating adaptation to Titanfall; marrying high quality visual effects, game IP and live-action content into one jaw dropping saga
.

So I don’t know about you guys, but I love the fact that a studio with a passion for things like this, was able to work with the actual creators to bring the fans something else to expand the Titanfall universe. Check out the three minute preview below, and as always let me know your thoughts Nerd Nation. Are you excited for a live action Titanfall series and what do you think this series will lead to? A follow up game, or even a movie perhaps? Be sure to leave me your thoughts in a comment below or on the Facebook page…Enjoy!

Hulk Buster Iron Man Cosplay

We’ve all seen the iron man cosplayers at conventions or movie premieres. You know the ones with the face plate that goes up and down, the light up eyes and even some that have CO2 jets to simulate his thrusters. There is no denying that they are cool and the time and talent that goes into making those awesome Iron Man cosplays are far beyond my abilities. However, once you’ve seen the many different variations it starts to lose it’s WOW factor because essentially they are all the same. Well at least from the perspective of the people who have no idea what it takes to make one…Like myself.

Finally though, someone has taken the iron Man cosplay to a whole new awesome level. I give you the Hulk Buster Iron Man costume. There isn’t much detail about the suit its self but it was made and worn by Pablo Bairan. Click Here to check out his Facebook page where he features many other cool cosplay designs. The thing looks massive and I’m sure it isn’t very comfortable to wear, but damn it looks bad ass. Even more epic about this cosplay, is the eyes light up along with the arc reactor, and the face plate opens and closes. This is definitely a refreshing new take on the whole Iron Man colsplay. I knew someone would eventually do it. It was just a matter of time.

So what do you think Nerd Nation? Does this Hulk Buster Iron Man cosplay take home the win when it comes to the Iron Man armors? Let me know what you think by leaving me a comment below or on the Facebook Page.
