My Trip to The Magic Kingdom

Hey guys, I’m back from my Disneyland trip with the Family. It was definitely one of those vacations where you feel like you need another one just to re coop from this one. I had a great time and can definitely see why people become obsessed with everything Disney. It had been about five years since I had been to the Magic Kingdom and now being in my thirties I think I can finally appreciate all the attention to detail that Disney is known for. We went because it was a big Birthday trip for our three kids. They all have Birthdays that are close to each other so instead of doing 3 separate parties they opted for the big trip and had a blast.

It was amazing watching them experience Disneyland for the first time where they could actually really grasp where they were at and what they were doing. Everything seemed to work out because at both Disneyland and CA Adventure we hardly had to wait in any lines. Not to mention, because it was their birthday trip, they got special buttons to wear around the parks and every staff member that saw it wished them a happy birthday. They even got a couple of free fast passes to get on rides. I can honestly say that Disney’s attention to detail made this trip extra special for us and our kids.

Now I have a little secret to share with you guys. Some of you may have noticed the Disney Vacation Club stands around the parks and hotels. Well if you go check out their presentation which takes about an hour to an hour and a half, they will give you 3 fast passes for every person in your group good for any ride in either Ca Adventure or Disneyland. There is no pressure to buy anything and they give you all the info you need to take home with you. We checked it out while the kid’s played video games in their “Activity Zone”, got some good info, and were back at the parks in about 2 hours (had to hit the hotel first). The fast passes were awesome and we got to get on three rides with really long lines which saved us close to 3 hours of waiting.

I have to admit that there was one thing that really disappointed me. I knew that they had made changes on the Star Tours ride, but what they did to it was pretty terrible. Basically they took most of the shit from the prequels (mainly pod racing) and threw it into the new ride. I guess maybe I’m a bit bias since I grew up loving the old one. They even have the old droid pilot scrapped and you can see him off to the side as you walk through the line. Anyways, I thought I would share a couple cool pictures with you guys of some things that I saw on my trip. As always let me know your thoughts by leaving me a comment below or on the Facebook page.
