The Incredibles 2 Confirmed

There is some pretty big news that came out of Disney during the company’s share holders meeting today. If you’re a fan of either Cars or The Incredibles then brace yourself for this news. Disney company chief Bob Iger announced today that Disney and Pixar are moving forward with both Cars 3 and The Incredibles 2. Now I wasn’t a big fan of the last Cars movie but the first one will always be special to me because it was my sons favorite movie when he was little, same with The Incredibles. Fans of the first one have been waiting over ten years for a sequel to the family superhero movie.

Director Brad Bird who did the first Incredibles movie has often hinted at wanting to do a sequel as long as the script was well written. As of now he has signed on to write the new script for the sequel, but no word if he will be directing it. This will definitely be interesting to see where they go with this new film. Like I said before, it has been ten years since the last Incredibles movie came out and there are so many different directions they could go with this sequel. They might even go the route of a prequel and try to show the golden age of the heroes, though I kind of hope they don’t.

Not much else was given about these two movies but when I hear more I will let you guys know. For now, I’m interested in what you guys have to say. Are you excited about another Cars or Incredible movie or do you think that Cars should have ended with two? Leave me your thoughts in a comment below or on the Facebook page.

First Person Superman (Video)

I think we’ve all had at least one dream in our lives where we had the powers of Superman and could fly with ease through the city. At least I know I’ve had that dream on several occasions. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have those powers and now someone has made a short film that really captures the feeling of what it would be like to actually do so. This is honestly one of the coolest things I have seen in a really long time. Superman finds someone’s Go Pro camera and has to return it, but not before doing a few heroic deeds on the way. Apparently the film makers used a drone to capture all the video footage that we see from the Man of Steel’s perspective.

This video would have still been cool if it was just Superman flying around the way he was, but it was a nice touch to have different things going on around Metropolis for him to respond to. The music is a perfect compliment to the video and definitely helps give it that high energy feel. In all honesty I think this is so much more innovative than anything we have seen from the big screen adaptations…Seriously time to step up your game Hollywood. This really makes you feel like you are flying around at high speed as Superman himself.  Ya know, it actually reminds me of this ride called “Soarin over California” at Disneyland California Adventure.

The ride sits in a giant theater and lifts you up in front of a huge screen and gives your the sense of soaring over different parts of California. This Superman Go Pro concept would make an awesome and much more thrilling ride in my opinion. Anyways, check out this awesome Superman Go Pro video from Corridor Digital. As always I want to hear your thoughts Nerd Nation. Do you think Man of Steel could have used a scene like this in the movie or would you like to see something like this in the next one?
