Now You Know

Happy Monday Nerd Nation! This gave me a good laugh this morning and I definitely needed to laugh. I was up all night with probably the worst sore throat I’ve ever had and today I feel like Shite. This might be a slow couple of days for me so apologies in advance. Hope that everyone is having a better Monday than me

Star Wars Peace Time

LOL This Cracked me up. From far away I thought they were cosplayers and their kids, but then I saw they were just figures. Too funny! Anyways, I think the moral here people is that if we could just put our differences aside we’d have a much more peaceful universe…Happy Friday Nerd Nation!

Cosplay of The Day

Cosplay of The Day! We’ve seen the sexy Samus before, but check out this very original and creative 8 bit Samus. I love thinking that is outside of the box and this just goes to show that there are always very original ideas out there for cosplayers to bring to life. This is an awesome recreation of a childhood classic. As always, click the image above to enlarge it!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Official Trailer (Video)

So wait…April O’Neil’s father and the Shredder created the Ninja Turtles??? Is this for real, because I think I might throw up in my mouth just a little. So the origin story of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has completely changed from Japanese heritage to now just lab experiments? I swear this movie is going to be the death of me. Not really, but it looks terrible to me. I really hate to be such a Negative Nancy about this one but you just don’t go ruining people’s childhood characters like this. I don’t think Michael Bay should be allowed to turn anymore iconic cartoons into live action movies.

Well The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s official trailer is finally here and it has seriously gotten the Michael Bay treatment. His name is like the first thing you see so you can tell he’s pretty proud of it. It’s pretty much the usual mix of buildings being destroyed, lens flares a plenty, and slow motion destruction. So if you haven’t gotten enough of that stuff from the Transformers series, then you’re in luck because there is plenty more for the new TMNT series. Sorry guys for being so hard on this film, but I just hate what has been done to them. I understand updating them for a new generation to enjoy, but I think it’s gone a bit too far and is pretty much a slap in the face to the fans that made them popular enough to make a movie of in the first place.

Anyways, check out the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailer and let me know what you think. Do you think I’m being a jack ass and being too hard on this film, do you agree with me, or are you somewhere in the middle. Let me know your thoughts by leaving me a comment below or on the Facebook page…Enjoy!

Geek Ink

Here’s some Sweet Ass geek Ink for you guys. Check out this tattoo from the anime series Bleach featuring Ichigo and his Hollow Mask. This tat definitely captures that psychotic look that we know and love so much from this form. This is truly a Bad Ass Tattoo! Click the image to enlarge it.

If The Legend of Zelda Had Cops

Have you ever wondered, “What if The Legend of Zelda Had Cops”? Me neither, but here’s another awesome video that answers that question from Dorkly. He does some hilarious stuff using 8bit and 16bit video game footage from some pretty well known games. In this video Link is stopped from completing his adventure in High Rule by an overzealous cop with an itchy trigger finger. Oh don’t worry, nothing bad really comes to Link but this would definitely have made quite a different experience for the original Legend of Zelda game on the NES.

Seriously though he makes some very funny observations that I just don’t think gets talked about enough when we think back about the original Legend of Zelda. Like Why wasn’t Link wearing any pants, how come he never spoke, and why was Gannon just a large Pig Man? All very interesting questions if you ask me. Now after watching this it took me a few seconds to wipe the tears of joy from my eyes but I kind of felt bad for Gannon. He really did get it much worse than Link could have done to him. Anyways, Check out “If The Legend of Zelda Had Cops” and be sure to leave your thoughts in a comment below or on the Facebook page.

Grow Up and Get A Life

Video games are relevant in any situation really. However, the only bad part about something so clever, is that not everyone would understand this reference. Oh well, I guess whoever does understand it should consider themselves cool in my book 😉 Happy Hump Day Nerd Nation!
