Clone Wars Lost Missions Trailer (Video)

Ya know, I have to give it up to Disney. They are making some really smart choices and giving us fans what we want when it comes to the Star Wars franchise. I know initially people (like myself) were very skeptical if Disney acquiring Star Wars was going to be a good thing or not. Then we were filled with even more doubt when they shut down Lucas Arts and took Star Wars: The Clone Wars off the air, but I am starting to think that this is exactly what needed to happen to re-energize this franchise and give it new life.

RIP Harold Ramis

This picture is kind of sad but it’s still cool. Sad that there can never be a full Ghostbusters reunion now, but Harold had a great career entertaining millions through his acting, comedy, and writing. We’ll miss you Egon.

Godzilla Official Trailer (Video)

So I’ve seen the teaser that was released a little while ago and now that I’ve seen the official trailer I have to admit that this looks a lot better than I originally thought. This Godzilla movie seems to be much darker and more terrifying than anything we have seen before. Again, I’ve never been a huge fan of the Godzilla movies and the one from the late 90s was completely laughable but this is actually turning out better than I expected. My only question is, if they tried killing this thing with nukes in the pacific ocean and it didn’t even damage it, then how the hell are humans suppose to survive this thing?

I guess that remains to be seen in the actual movie. Thankfully there is no sign of Matthew Broderick or any Godzilla babies in this movie so I think we’re gonna be just fine. Anyways, check out the official Godzilla trailer and let me know your thoughts Nerd Nation. Does this movie look like the Godzilla movie fans have been waiting for and are you planning on seeing it in theaters? Leave me your thoughts in a comment below or on the Facebook page.

Point Break Remake?

We hear it time and time again, but Hollywood loves themselves a good reboot. For most of us that remember the original movies we end up asking ourselves “Why the hell do they feel the need to give every movie a Fucking reboot?” Well it looks like the 1991 Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves classic wasn’t safe from this reboot bull shit either. I don’t know if you can tell or not, but I’m a little annoyed about this one. Alcon Entertainment’s co-founders and Ceo’s confirmed their remake announcing that Ericson Core is set to direct.

I think the most insulting part of this entire thing is who they got to play the characters of Bodhi and Johnny Utah. It has been confirmed the Luke Bracey from GI Joe: Retaliation and Gerard Butler will be replacing Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze…What The Fuck!?!? Luke Bracey will play the part of Johnny Utah and Gerard butler will be Bodhi. This sucks and you can be sure that this is one movie I won’t go see just like the Miami Vice movie and Red Dawn remake. This is just another quick Hollywood cash in on a name that is already established. Point Break the remake is due out sometime in 2015.

As always I want to know what you think about this Nerd Nation. Are you happy to hear that they are remaking this movie and what do you think about the casting choices? Leave me your thoughts in a comment below or on the Facebook page.

R.I.P. Egon

Harold Ramis has died at 69 years old. He was known for many roles, but I will always remember him from the Ghost Busters movies as Dr. Egon Spengler. I was very glad to hear that Ramis was surrounded by family in the home he lived since 1996 when he passed. Rest in peace Egon Spengler.

Heroes Returning To NBC (Video)

It’s only been 4 years since the TV show Heroes last aired on NBC but probably about six years since it was actually good. I use to watch that show when it aired live Monday Nights…At least I think it was Monday nights. The show was great in the beginning and somewhere around season 3 it started to fall off for more. It seemed like it was surrounded by a ton of mystery and had all the momentum to be a big hit that could last a long time. However, some of you may remember the fatal writers strike that in my humble opinion doomed the series into cancellation just when it was really starting to take off.

Well there is Good News for fans of the series. NBC execs have confirmed the Heroes will be returning in 2015 with thirteen new episodes and original series creator Tim Kring is all set to run the show which will be titled “Heroes Reborn.” So far there is no word yet on if any of the original cast members will be reprising their roles in this new series. In my opinion I think they should start with a brand new cast that lives outside the story line of the original and slowly reintroduce some (not all) of the original cast back into the fold.

I personally am very excited to have this show back and I think it comes at a great time especially with shows like Marvel: Agents of Shield, Arrow, and the new Batman series that is on it’s way. I think Hollywood can see that this is a great time for super heroes and “Heroes” really was one of the shows that paved the way for such prosperity. As always, I want to know what you think Nerd Nation. Did you watch the original back in 2006 and are you excited to see it coming back to network television. Throw Back Thursday

Happy Thursday Nerd Nation! All of these shows were great in their own way and had some awesome toys to go along with it. I have great memories of watching each one of these back in my youth. However, the question is which one of these cartoons was your favorite as a kid? I’d have to say Transformers with Thundercats running a close second. The NEW Fantastic Four

Here it is folks, you are looking at the the unofficial/official cast for the Fantastic Four reboot. Miles Teller is set to be Reed Richards, Kate Mara will be Sue Storm, Jamie Bell is Ben Grimm, and Michael B. Jordan is the new Johnny Storm. I say unofficial/official because it’s about 99% done. There are still some loose ends to tie up like; Miles Teller is in final talks for his role and Jamie Bell has only just received the offer, but is expected to sign on some time soon. I guess Fox was a little anxious to let this news out.

Again, I’m not really sure how Michale B. Jordan fits into all of this since they didn’t change Sue Storm, unless they say he is adopted or…The Mail Man had something to do with this. HAHA I’m just kidding. Honestly I think this will be an interesting dynamic although I wonder what kind of “Thing” Jaime Bell will make. I honestly thought he would have made a better Reed Richards. I guess only time will tell with this cast. i mean honestly their reception couldn’t be much worse than the last Fantastic Four movies.

So far I am OK with this reboot as long as they don’t make Dr. Doom female like it has been talked about. As always I want to know what you think about these new casting choices for the Fantastic Four reboot. Does this look like a team of heroes that will take this franchise to great heights? Or do you think that this is just a disaster waiting to happen? Leave me your thoughts in a comment below or on the Facebook page.
