Mega Bloks Halo: Assault on Squad 45 (Video)

So over the Holidays I spent most of my time building vehicles and play sets for my son who badly wanted just about every Mega Bloks Halo set imaginable. Needless to say myself and Santa are not ones to disappoint so he did end up with quite a few. However, I really had no clue that my son of 7 was not going to have the skills or patients to put together all of those sets…Especially the bigger ones. He does fine on some of the small stuff but (like most parents) it became my task to sit there and put them all together.

Once I built these different vehicles and sets, I had absolutely no desire to let him play with them because I felt so accomplished that I now wanted to display them for all to see. Obviously, that didn’t happen and so far he has enjoyed countless hours of fun without breaking any of them. It’s honestly fun to watch and join him in the many battles he puts together on his bedroom floor. I say all that because I came across this awesome little Halo Mega Blocks video that I wanted to share with you.

It’s a short film that I believe was created either for or by Mega Blocks themselves. Apparently it is “A compilation of the first four episodes of the incredibly popular toymation series, Mega Bloks Halo: Assault on Squad 45.” At least that’s what it says on their YouTube page. After putting the few vehicles and sets that I did together, I now have a much greater appreciation for how much work probably went into making this video. The effects are cool, the battles are on a very large scale, and the story its self isn’t half bad.

So check out this really cool stop motion video of Mega Bloks Halo: Assault on Squad 45 and let us know your thoughts. Would you like to see more videos like this made and have you built any of these cool sets yourself? Leave us a comment below or on our Facebook page.

Justice League: War (Video)

So DC has been hard at work on their latest Animated movie Justice League: War. It is the next entry in the popular, ongoing series of DC Universe Original Animated Movies and will be available on February, 4 2014. Now I’m not a huge DC fan as most of you know, but I do really enjoy their animated shows and movies. Don’t know much about the comics and not really a fan of their movies, but their animated projects have always been super sweet!

That being said Justice League: War looks like another great film to come out of DC. In their competition with Marvel they definitely have a huge lead over them in the animation department. However, for those of us that get our DC fix through their animated series I don’t understand why they have to go and change things on us. Once you watch this clip you’ll know what I’m talking about, but that Batman voice is terrible.

I’ve always been a firm believer of “If it ain’t broke, Don’t fix it”. Why oh why are they not using Kevin Conroy for this voice? Even the guy from Batman: Year one would have been a better choice than whoever it is they got to play the voice of Batman in this movie. Especially since it seems that DC has gone and made Batman their number one hero and biggest Bad Ass, you would think they would get a voice to match…Just a thought.

Anyways, check out this clip from the up coming animated movie Justice League: War and let us know your thoughts. Are you excited for the movie and what do you think of this Batman voice actor. Leave us a comment below or on our Facebook page.

Tauntaun Store Run

Happy Tuesday Nerd Nation! I hope most of you are staying warm today. Remember, make sure you think twice about what you need from the store because it’s a one time trip. We don’t want our Tauntaun to freeze to death. Those damn things aren’t cheap ya know.

Cosplay of The Day

NERDGASM! This is one of the best Transformer cosplays that I’ve seen. It would really take it over the top if he had his crown and cape from the original animated movie. Be sure to click on the image to enlarge it.
