LEGO The Last of Us (Video)

The last of us was probably one of the best games I have played in a really long time. Though it wasn’t the sprawling open world of a game like GTA V the story was so emotional and really gripped you from beginning to end. The game was gritty and violent, giving you a true sense of what it might be like to try and survive the end of the world. That being said, The Last of Us is probably one of the last games I would think of being made into a kid friendly Lego game.

However, Brian Anderson thought if they made a Lego game out of The Last of Us, I would totally play it. He took a very edgy concept and made it much more accessible by giving it the Lego look and feel to this short video. He did an amazing job with the CG animation, making it look like it could be an officially licensed game by Lego. Even adding in some of the quirky humor that Lego games are known to have.

Aside from the obvious, you can tell the Brian Anderson is a Nerd of all trades by the little surprise at the end of his video. So give LEGO The Last of Us a watch and let us know what you think. If this were a real game do you think you would play it. Leave us your thoughts in a comment below or on our Facebook page…Enjoy!

Kung Fury (Video)

Who doesn’t remember all the cheesy B rated cop movies from the 1980s? Most if not all of us have seen at least one sometime in our life. As much fun as they are to watch, I’ve always thought they could use a bit more substance like arcade-robots, dinosaurs, nazis, vikings, norse gods, mutants and a super kung fu-cop! Well thankfully the good people over at Laser Unicorns agrees with me, and decided to make a movie with all that over the top goodness wrapped up in a neat little package called Kung Fury.

Happy Monday!

Majora’s Mask Live Action: The Skull Kid (Video)

THE SKULL KID, a harmless but troublesome imp, has been cast out of the city of Clocktown. Deep within the lost woods he must face the harsh realities of his banishment. There, amongst the trees, an ancient evil has also begun to stir, seeking out a creature suitable to become its puppet.

For those of you that might be familiar with the Nintendo 64 game Legend of Zeld: Majora’s Mask then a lot of what is in this short fan film will look pretty familiar to you. Now I think I’ve only played the game like once or twice at a friends house back in the day but this game always creeps me the hell out. Some of you might remember a story we shared not too long ago about video games being haunted. If you missed it then just Click Here to read up and watch the video. Anyways, there is a well document story about a haunted copy of Majora’s mask that ultimately drove it’s last owner crazy.

Not to mention Skull Boy just looks creepy especially because he has no voice. All in all though this fan film is actually very well done. There are a lot of elements that are reminiscent of the N64 game and the effects are done very well. Give this fan film a watch and as always let us know your thoughts.
