Use The Force

Holy shit this had me dying. I actually got this from a friend who happens to be a girl so that makes it even funnier to me. I think we all know someone who this could probably relate to…they must use the force to calm them 🙂

Star Trek Returns to TV

According to the IMDB website there is a new Star Trek TV movie on the way titled “Star Trek: Renegades”. It will premier in 2014 and takes place 10 years after the end of Star Trek: Voyager. This made for TV movie will star everyone’s second favorite Vulcan, Commander Tuvok who will need to investigate why The Federation’s main suppliers of dilithium crystals are disappearing. From what I can tell Tim Russ who plays Tuvok is the only one from the Voyager crew that is returning for this movie.

Here is the official plot summary from the IMDB page;
It is nearly ten years after Voyager’s return from the Delta Quadrant, and the Federation is in a crisis. The Federation’s main suppliers of dilithium crystals are disappearing. Space and time have folded around several planets, effectively isolating them from any contact with outside worlds. And this phenomenon is not natural – someone or something is causing this to happen. This necessitates drastic measures; some of which are outside the Federation’s normal jurisdiction. For this, Admiral Pavel Chekov, head of Starfleet Intelligence, turns to Commander Tuvok, Voyager’s former security officer and current head of the newly reorganized Section 31. Tuvok must put together a new covert, renegade crew – mostly outcasts and rogues – even criminals. This new crew is tasked with finding out what is causing the folding of time and space, and stopping it – at all costs. But will they be able to put aside their differences and stop trying to kill one another in time to accomplish their mission? Written by Ethan H. Calk

It sounds pretty interesting and being a fan of the Star Trek series (except Enterprise) I am actually very excited to see this amazing show back on TV, even if it’s only for one movie. However, there has been a lot of talk about Star Trek making it’s return to TV in a full on series so this might actually be the launching point for a new series. As always we want to know what you think about this. Are you excited to see a new Star Trek TV movie and would you like to see them make another run at a TV series?
