Yamato Macross DYRL Helmets

This are seriously amazing and would be great for any Macross or anime fan’s collection. these are full 1:1 scale Macross/Robotech helmets. These awesome replica Macross helmets were created by the Japanese Toy company Yamato. I don’t think they are made for any actual protection but Damn I want one. The only problem is I think they were on a very limited run because I can not find them anywhere online. I’ve checked from eBay to just about every Japanese toy vendor that I know and have come up about 3 years too late.

The helmets come in 3 versions; red, yellow, and blue for Rick, Roy, and Max. I’ve always been a fan of Max more then Roy or Rick so I would have to choose blue, but honestly I would be happy with any of these. If you guys end up having better luck than me and are ever able to locate them, then let us know and send us a picture. We would love to see it. Anyways, check out the pictures below and let us know what you think. Leave your thoughts in a comment below or on our Facebook page.

The Dark Knight Legacy

As most of you know I am huge supporter of fan films. I love that fans make short movies or films simply because they have a passion for the source material. The Dark Knight Legacy is a fan made film that takes place a year after Chris Nolan’s the Dark Knight Returns leaves off. Most fan films are usually plagued with bad special effects, camera work, and acting due to their severely low budget. However, I have to say that The Dark Knight Legacy is one of the best produced fan films I’ve seen in a while. Sure there is some rough dialog in some spots but that is to be expected.

The costumes aren’t at all over the top and I definitely think that works in their favor for this fan film. Even the Penguin is not your stereotypical fat man with a monocle. The best part about this film is the appearance of the Red Hood. His costume looked great and he was definitely ruthless like his comic book counterpart. There is a brief appearance by Nightwing but I wasn’t too impressed with his acting or goofy over sized mask.

All in all The Dark Knight Legacy is a really great fan film and I encourage you to check it out…Well look here, you guys are in luck because I just happen to have the video right here for you. Give it a watch and as always let us know your thoughts by leaving us a comment below or on our Facebook Page.

GTA 5 Out Now!

It’s September 17th! Who picked up their copy of GTA 5 and who is at home when they should be at work…Better yet, who’s not reading this because you’re playing GTA 5???

A Walking Dead Spin Off???

Looks like AMC is getting a bit spin off happy. This morning AMC announced that they and creator Robert Kirkman are in the planning stages of a Walking Dead spin off show. Apparently this will be a “companion series” with the original show. It was said by AMC president Charlie Collier that there was no end in sight for the original Walking Dead TV series. This might work for the comic book, but I’m not so sure how good of a formula it is for a TV show. Hopefully this new announcement means that with a second series in production that we might actually get an end to the original.

Regarding the new series Robert Kirman said;
“I couldn’t be more thrilled about getting the chance to create a new corner of The Walking Dead universe” adding that “the opportunity to make a show that isn’t tethered by the events of the comic book, and is truly a blank page, has set my creativity racing.”

AMC president Charlie Collier promised that the show would feature;
“an entirely new story and cast of characters,” while offering “another unforgettable view of the zombie apocalypse.”

I think this can only be a good thing since there has been a bit of bad blood between fans of the show and fans of the comic. Now everyone gets something new written by the original creator of the series. This announcement follows the earlier announcement that AMC is working on a prequel to the Breaking Bad TV series titled “Saul”. The new Walking dead spin off series is set to premiere sometime in 2015. As always let us know your thoughts below or leave us a comment on our Facebook Page.
