Iron Man Helps the Homeless

This is what it’s all about Nation! We Nerds are not all trolls and internet bullies. We all have a passion for different things, but this is truly where it’s at. These are the kinds of things that really matter in life. It’s not about whether you like Marvel or DC, Sony or Microsoft, or a true gamer or poser. We’re all just people and it’s very inspiring to see someone taking what they love and using it to help others. I’ve never watched anything other than this video, but check out theDOMINICshow channel on YouTube and support this video. The best part is that all the money made from this video (I assume from YouTube) will be donated to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission.

It doesn’t take much to be a hero to someone and this just goes to show that any of us can do something to make someone else’s life a little better. This definitely has inspired me to try and help more people and make this world a better place. I hope that at the very least it will make us appreciate what we have and maybe think about treating others a little better on a daily basis. Check out this video and let us know your thoughts. Joe’s Comic

Page 1 of 7 of this funny comic created by a close personal friend of mine. This a real yet exaggerated situation that happened to my buddy Joe at his old job. He is an aspiring comic artist and did all the illustration and color himself. Check it out and subscribe to his Deviant Art page and show him some love!

DuckTales Metal

This DuckTales Guitar medley is pretty fuggin sweet! FamilyJules7X has covered a lot of video game songs but these 8 are from the original Duck Tales game for NES. He played all of the instruments himself so big ups to this guy for making such an awesome throw back to an even more awesome video game.

Check it out and let us know what you think? Did you like the music and do you have some fond memories of playing this game as a kid. Leave us a comment below or on our Facebook page.

4 Rules for JJ Abrams

I really really like this video because it is very simple to understand although I think I could have done without the whole acapella Star Wars music. I think that was suppose to just be a viral internet thing and people are just keeping it alive when it should probably just be left for dead. Anyways, I digress…The video its self has a very important message for one JJ Abrams who will be directing the next Star Wars movie.

So if you care about how Star Wars episode 7 will turn out then take a look at this video and pass it around. Hopefully Mr. Abrams gets to look at this as well and remembers what we all loved so much about Star Wars before George Lucas decided to take it in a completely different direction. As always we are interested in hearing your thoughts. Do you agree with these 4 rules and do you have any of your own? Leave them in a comment below or on our Facebook Page.

Star Trek The Next Generation 25Th Anniversary

Happy 25th Anniversary to the best science fiction TV show ever aired! They just don’t make em like this anymore. I have such great memories watching this show with my Dad when I was a kid. Do you have a favorite character or episode from the Next Generation? Let us know below or in the comments section of our Facebook page!

Need For Speed Movie Trailer

I honestly can’t believe that this is real. Seriously, I thought this was a fake trailer at first. It starts out as cliche as it can get. Apparently the main character lost everything that mattered to him and now he only has one option and that is to race fast cars. Oh and this time…It’s personal. I don’t know about you but that sounds like a pretty deep plot to me. All joking aside I understand that a movie made after a racing game probably isn’t going to have a very deep story line, but that’s just bad. I mean out of all the amazing video games out there that deserve a shot a being seen on the big screen, they thought Need for Speed was the best choice????

At the very least do something innovative with this movie that might give the Fast and Furious franchise a run for its money…. Anyways, check out the trailer for the new Need for Speed movie (not game) coming out next year. As always we want to know what your thoughts are on this so please leave us a comment below or on our Facebook page. Is this movie a GO or a No for you, and what game do you think should have been made into a movie ahead of Need for Speed?

GTA Online Micro Transactions, Updates, and More

Rockstar has confirmed that online micro transactions WILL be a part of Grand theft Auto Online which is set to launch next week. The good news for us gamers is that we are not required to spend any of our real money to obtain anything in the game. Guns, cars, clothes, and property can all be obtained by using the in game methods of making money. However, for those that want to get things a little quicker or a little easier, the option to purchase items with real money is available to us as well. “There is no in-game paywall and nothing that should disrupt the balance of the game. You don’t have to spend real money to attain the cars, guns, clothes, flash, and style of a high-roller in Los Santos, but can if you wish to get them a little quicker,” Rockstar Game said.
I really have to tip my proverbial hat to Rockstar for this because it would be easy for them to nickle and dime the shit out of us especially considering how much they spent making this game in the first place. Rockstar also gave the fans a small glimpse at what updates they have planned in the near future for GTA Online. Some of these updates include the Content Creator where players can create their own customized death matches and races, The Beach Bum Pack which features four new vehicles and 300 items of clothing, and two new weapons. Also, coming to GTA Online in future updates is a Capture the Flag mode and Heist missions where players can work together to perform a number of jobs. The best part is all of these updates will be free.

Rockstar Games is doing their best to make this online experience as seamless as possible though they have warned that the first few days GTA Online goes live it will probably be a bit glitchy and have some over crowded servers. Rockstar Games said it is “working around the clock” to buy and add more servers to support the pressure of millions of players logging into the game.

So what are your thoughts Nerd Nation? Are you excited for GTA online and what kind of expectations do you have for it? Lets us know your thoughts by leaving us a comment below or in the comments section of our Facebook Page.
