New Predator Movie???

With SDCC only a few short days away we have been getting little tidbits on what studios might have planned for their Comic Con reveals. Fox gave us fans a small teaser of what they will be showing this week.

From AMC Theatres:
In Hall H, where most of the big panels for both TV and film are held, Fox let spectators know that they would be showcasing “The Wolverine”, “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”, and a “surprise” from 4:15-5:15pm on Saturday July 20th.”

Judging by the poster below that was tweeted by the Fox Twitter page, it looks to me like they are going to possibly reboot the franchise. The poster takes a quote from the original Predator movie and shows a thermal image of the Gas Lamp district in downtown San Diego. The last few predator films have been pretty terrible to say the least. I know reboots are not that popular these days but I honestly think that the Predator franchise needs a fresh, new, energetic start. time to go back to their suspenseful roots.

So what are your thoughts Nerd Nation? Do you think they will reveal a new movie or something else? Also, would you be excited for a new movie or even a reboot of the series? Let us know your thoughts below or on our Facebook Page!

The Ultimate Warrior Returns to The WWE

There is a lot to be said about this commercial. Yes the acting is terrible and it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. But that’s not what makes this commercial so ground breaking. The fact that after almost 20 years the Ultimate Warrior has finally come back to once again work with the WWE is mind blowing for an old school fan like myself. Obviously it is impossible to tell what the extent of his involvement with the WWE will be, but just the fact that he is there and promoting their new game is quite impressive.

For those of you that might not know, the “Warrior” as he is currently known has had some what of a rocky relationship with the WWE. He was fired twice by the WWE, and In fact the reason he legally changed his name to the “Warrior” was to try and gain creative control of his character The Ultimate Warrior from the WWE. Unfortunately that didn’t work and he has had to make some changes over the years. Not to mention the less than flattering DVD “The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior” that was released by the WWE in 2005. I don’t know about you but that sure sounds like one dysfunctional relationship to me.

In any case it is good to see that after all these years The Ultimate Warrior and the WWE were able to put their differences aside and work together once again. It just sucks that it took almost 20 years and now the Warrior looks like shit. Anyways, I hope the game is decent because the 10 year old me is super excited about this. The Ultimate Warrior was my favorite wrestler as a kid. As always let us know your thoughts on this and does the fact that The Ultimate Warrior is a DLC character in this game influence your thoughts on purchasing WWE 2K14 in any way?
