Homer Meme

I made this meme a while back but updated it so it would be easier to read. This is one of the greatest quotes from the Simpsons…actually from anything that I’ve ever heard. Anyways, have a good weekend and try not to be too much like Homer.

Super Power Beat Down: Batman vs Deadpool

This is kind of a weird match up and they actually reference a better match up (in my opinion) or at least one that makes more sense in Deadpool vs Deathstroke. Both are assassins, both like to use guns and swords, and both have cocky attitudes. Seems like a more likely match up to me, but that’s OK. As for the match up of Batman and Deadpool, I think both would give each other a run for their money at least a bit more than they did in this video.

The production values of these Super Power Beat Downs are getting better every time although I can’t say I’m a huge fan of the Batman in this. The costumes are great and Deadpool is actually pretty close to his comic book self being a huge smart ass and extra annoying. Although it seemed like some of his dialog was a little forced. All in all this was still a really cool battle to watch so check it out and as always let us know your thoughts below or in the comment section of our Facebook Page. And be sure to check out Bat in The Sun’s YouTube page for more awesome videos.

Enjoy!!!

Throw Back Thursday: Dino Riders

Not many people remember the 1988 TV show Dino Riders, mainly because it was pretty short but most people who grew up in the 80’s remember the toys. Apparently the show was only one season long consisting of 14 episodes mainly created to promote the super sweet toy line by Tyco. the basic premise of the story is 2 alien races from the future battle it out on prehistoric earth. Nothing fancy here but it made for hours of awesome play time. The two races were called the Valorians (Good) and the Rulons (Bad). One befriends the dinosaurs while the other brain washes them. If you’ve never seen the series then I’ll let you figure out which one did which.

These things were great and I remember my friends and I having giant battles with them and our GI Joes. I hate to be the old guy saying it but they honestly don’t make toys like this anymore. Things like this really made us use our imaginations and be creative. It’s unfortunate that all the great toys and series from the 80’s and 90’s went the way of the…dinosaurs. Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Anyways I hope you enjoyed this little trip down memory lane and if you have any fond memories of the “Dino Riders” toys or series then please let us know below or in the comments sections of our Facebook Page!

Throw Back Thursday

41 years ago Atari was created and since then it has gone through several changes including ownership. However, the fact remains that the Atari 2600 changed the future of gaming forever. We wouldn’t have any of the amazing game systems that we’ve enjoyed over the years if it wasn’t for Nolan Bushnell creating the first affordable home gaming system. So for that we say…

Happy Birthday Atari!!!

First Look at some SDCC Exclusives

These San Diego Comic Con figure exclusives come by way of Bluefin Distribution. They will be at booth #140. If any of you are going, feel free to pick up one of these bad boys for your old pal here 🙂 I my humble opinion the DBZ scouters, the Unicorn Gundam, and the DBZ three figure set look the best. So those are the ones I will be showing you. If you’d like to see the rest of the exclusives from Bluefin Distribution then just Click Here. Anyways, on to the exclusives!

First up we have the DragonBall Z Exclusive 3 Piece Scouter Set. These scouters come in three awesome lens colors; red, green, and blue. They also come with authentic sound bites and fits up to most head sizes. These things would be great for any DBZ fan or cosplayer. The set will run you about $25.00 which honestly seems like a great price for what you are getting.

Up next and for you hobby enthusiasts we have the HGUC RX-0 Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode Green Frame Version) This hobby kit is 1/144 scale and requires no glue or paint to put together. The model comes with it’s beam magnum, deployed shield, and a semi transparent green frame as seen in episode 5 of Gundam UC OVA. Price for this kit is $35.00

Last but definitely not least is the Shodo DragonBall Z Ultimate Spark Version 3 Figure set. This one is honestly my favorite. It comes with what looks like Battle Damaged Super Saiyan Goku, Super Saiyan Vegeta and a secret character in each set. The figures are approximately 2 inches tall and are super articulated. The figures in this set have a particular paint job that are exclusive to the SDCC. This set will cost you $25.00 which is a really great deal.

As always let us know your thoughts on these exclusives and if you think you will picking some of them up this year. Leave your comments below or in the comments section of our Facebook Page!

Meme Time!

Hmmm….What to wish for now???

Geek Kink???

As we’ve stated before the whole “Nerd Culture” is not only becoming more acceptable but is really being embraced by society. This has never been more evident than when my attention was brought to a web site called Geek Kink. Even I was a bit surprised to see that they sell fetish items such as paddles and canes but with Nerdy themes.
