Hellboy 3 A No Go???

We here at Nerdgasm always hate being there bearers of bad news. It’s a dirty job but someone has to do it. In a recent interview with Comic Book Resources, writer Mike Mignola gave us an insight on the future of The Hellboy 3 film.

“The biggest problem I see as far as PR for the next billion years is explaining endlessly not only that there’s no Hellboy 3 movie, but it’s going to be explaining “Hellboy in Hell” is a series, but it’s not a monthly series.”

Obviously he did not go into any great detail but his words seem pretty clear. Hellboy 2: The Golden Army was met with mixed reviews from both fans and critics, but there were still some loose ends to be tied up and I think fans wanted to see a trilogy. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be any cherries coming to top this Hellboy sundae.

What are your thoughts Nerd Nation? Are you upset that there will not be a third Hellboy movie or would you like to see this series wrapped up the right way? Let us know your thoughts on our Facebook Page!

Zombie Survival Short Film

This is one of the finalists from an Australian film festival. It’s a tragic look at some possible decisions a Father has to make to keep his infant daughter alive after he is infected during the Zombie apocalypse. It definitely tugs on the heart strings but is really well done. I could see this being something used in or by The Walking Dead sometime in the future.

Anyways, Enjoy!!!

Batman Arkham Origins Revealed

So we heard a few months back that a New Batman Arkham game would be making it’s way to the public once again and now we know what it’s name will be. “Batman Arkham Origins” will actually be a bit of a prequel to the other Arkham games. Now I know what you might be thinking that prequels are never as interesting or as fun, but this will be the first time we actually get to take Batman through the streets of Gotham City.

The plot goes like this ; 8 of the worlds greatest assassins (including what looks like Death Stroke) come to Gotham city, on Christmas eve of all nights, to try and hunt down The Batman. This apparently has little to do with the other Arkham games and sounds like a completely different story from Batman’s history. It sounds very interesting to me and I like the fact that the new developers acknowledge how high the standards need to be for this game due to the quality and fan fare of the last ones.

Have a look at this video and let us know what you think in the comment section of our Facebook Page! Are you excited for this new Batman game or are you doubtful a new developer and a new storyline can measure up?
