“The Last of Us” Extended Red Band Trailer

I think this might be the first time I’ve ever seen a red band trailer released for a game but I think “The Last of Us” is pretty deserving of one. Not only is it violent but the game could easily be a big screen adaptation, and most likely will be some day. I’m sure you can probably name quite a few cinematic influences that Sony and Naughty Dog used for this game, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing.

This game looks pretty intense with plenty of drama, action, and emotion.  I am definitely looking forward to the release of this game although I’m not afraid to admit I might not be playing this alone in the dark…

Check out this official extended trailer for The Last Of Us and let us know what you think on our Facebook page. Are you looking forward to it or will you pass on it???

Independance Day Sequels???

So for the past seventeen years there has been speculation about a sequel to one of the biggest block buster movies ever made. Now it appears that it’s finally going to happen. Not only are we getting one but two sequels to the movie “Independance Day” making it the ever so popular trilogy. According to Entertainment Weekly Roland Emmerich (director of Independence Day) has giving us some tasty morsels on the up coming two sequels. The 2 working titles right now are ID Forever Part 1 and ID Forever Part II (pretty creative I know).

Emmerich told Entertainment Weekly:

The humans knew that one day the aliens would come back. And they know that the only way you can really travel in space is through wormholes. So for the aliens, it could take two or three weeks, but for us that’s 20 or 25 years.

He also said in reference to humanity after the alien attacks…

It’s a changed world. It’s like parallel history. [Humans] have harnessed all this alien technology. We dont know how to duplicate it because it’s organically-grown technology, but we know how to take an antigravity device and put it in a human airplane.

Some of the biggest news about the 2 sequels is that mega star Will Smith would not be in the movies and neither would his character. Apparently he was asking way too much money and wanted rolls for both his wife and son.

It’s still some of the same characters, but also new younger characters; it’s a little bit like the sons take over.

So what are your thoughts Nerd Nation? After almost 20 years is this a movie that you want to see even without Will Smith? Let us know your thoughts on our Facebook Page.
